What a shame…I had a few of their pieces and enjoyed wearing them while always being reminded of the women who created/made the jewelry. At least we were able to feel a small connection to these wonderful women…am sorry the line is gone.

Happy Anniversary Shannon!!! , great thread….

– Does look like something from Amanda Borghese’s line…they use bees quite a bit anyway…..good catch!!!!!

– I’m sorry I’m not recognizing these. Hopefully some of the other members of Cindy’s original jewelry thread will see your photos and be able to help. Great bunch of extremely knowledgeable jewelry lovers. Sure do miss the thread and the regulars.

Mostly oriental scents. Today is cloudy & cold with the front blowing in. It’s a “My Sin” by Lanvin day. Shame it was discontinued almost 30 years ago.

Please post a photo of one of the necklaces here…it would help. It sounds much like Amy Kahn Russell’s creations or early Deb Guyot…

Hi Kemi! If you purchase solitaires mounted in 14k or 18k gold, the nickel content may still be a problem for your ears. Contact dermatitis is no fun.
There’s been a trend to eliminate nickel from 14k & 18k jewelry. So you really need to know your jeweler and to trust what he/she tells you about the nickel content. Sometimes buying the larger butterfly backs is a good idea. Your dermatologist can give you a prescription ointment and other tips to deal with this if you have a flareup.
After years of the problem I finally plated mine with yellow 24k. You could replate them with white rhodium too. This does need to be redone every now and then as it does tend to wear. Finally, I permanently solved the problem by switching the diamonds to platinum mountings. Platinum does not contain nickel at all. It was well worth the cost.
Hope your earring wish comes true!!!

Unfortunately, I can relate to your disappointment at not being able to order a particular Rarities piece once it’s sold out. Have you tried the main auction site? Also, you could send a message to Carol on Facebook or on her blog here to see what she might say. She appears to respond to most questions. I can’t speak for Carol but I have heard her say that she does not normally bring items back once they are sold out and that’s one of the reasons why her line is called “Rarities.” Also, once in a while one of her sold out items will show up here. Wishing you good luck finding your morganite ring and Happy Holidays!
