Survey – amount of entries for game of the week
How many of you would like to see HSN revise their rules that ALL wins of the Game of The Week should be included for the $250 winning entry? Anyone can buy 20 entries – but ALL of our WINS should be entered. I believe this would be much more fair to those that play the game.

Sounds fair to me lemire but don’t hold your breath….lol Once HSN sets something up they do not waiver….:manhappy:

Being closed minded about your customers opinions isn’t a very savy business decision – just saying!!!!!

I suspect that quite a few of our Arcadians, are elderly/disabled, or suffering from things such as: visual impairments, hand coordination (e.g., tremors, arthritis), reduced reaction time, and/or short-term memory loss. Although it can be done, I don’t believe any of these games were designed for an impaired population.
Nevertheless, Arcadians (even so-called “normals”) play what games they can (and those that they enjoy), and don’t play those games for which they’re not suited (or which are too hard or simply no fun.) Someof us simply have mental blocks with certain games, like the dreaded and despised Sudoku.
Many Arcadians, although devoted to gaming and interaction, also have busy lives, with serious demands from family, work, and their communities. They do not, or would not, choose to game in Arcadia 24/7. Productive and responsible members should not face reduced odds in HSN contests. Remember, it’s fun here!
One thing that sort of makes sense to me is to have some sort of reward/recognition for the highest scorer during the gaming period. Good gaming Arcadians, but don’t penalize the alternative Arcadians!

I complletely understand that everyone can’t play these games – there are many I am no good at either. And I understand some may not be able to play at all which is why it is very good that you can purchase 20 Alternative Tickets in order to have a chance at the $250. However, many people, such as myself will try and try again to beat Sean’s score – even after I have purchased my 20 Alternative Tickets. And many times even after I have beat him 20 times. I would assume the games are there to play – and the Game of The Week is definetly there to entice us to win. Yes, I stay up too late some nights and sometimes other things don’t get done, just because I am so eager to beat Sean’s scores. So to me, we are actually punished for trying because those wins don’t count for anything else but posting rights. And the real kicker for me is that as we are playing these games the virtual HSN is playing right there next to the screen which has had me jump over to actually watch what is on and has led to many purchases. So my personal feeling is – all is not equal and many weeks the game is not for me. But for anyone good enough to keep beating it should be entered as another chance at the $250.

I would love to hear from many more of you on this subject. So jump in and give your opinion!!!!

I agree with you Sweetheart Pines. I’m disabled an also can not play some of the games. Thier are also times that my computer goes wacky.I think it’s great that everyone has a chance to enter with alternative entry, this way everyone has a chance.

I think my original post here to ask that all games that beat Sean’s score for The Game of The Week has gone way off topic. The Game of The Week is always a timed game and not for anyone handicap or having any mental difficulties. I believe HSN had this in mind when they offered the 20 Alternative Tickets. Being able to buy those tickets allows EVERYONE a chance at the $250. The real question I was asking comments to is for the people that play the Game of The Week and are serious players that really try and beat Sean’s score. There are some games that I catch on to such as Eggz this week where I have beaten him about 45 times. I want all 45 wins to be entered into the contest. The people that are playing are being discriminated against for their efforts because we are all limited to 20 entries whether they are purchased or legitimately won. Why shouldn’t those wins count toward the weekly prize? As far as people “cheating” the games – I have no idea how anyone could do that. I had some extra time this past week and spent most of it playing because I really do enjoy playing. I didn’t do all that well at first but little at a time I started figuring out how to get better scores. Next week the game may very well be one I am not good at and I don’t feel that the people that do get it should be punished for their wins counting. If I don’t get it – I’ll be happy with my 20 Alternative Ticket entries.
