Game totals

Gail581, we would love to take a look at this for you. Can you provide more details about what totals you are referring to?

My lifetime ticket total and what is on the All TIme Leader Board has not been correct for a long time…any chance these numbers will ever  be the same? Thanks! 

HSN, this is not just a problem for a few.  This difference between our lifetime totals on our Profiles and the total that show up on the All Time Leaderboard has existed and been reported for over a year, probably over a year and a half.  It happened during another ‘improvement’ phase.  During that time, the leader boards were not working.  They looked like the one for the new Bridge game does now.  Our scores kept recording on our profiles so no one was that concerned.  We assumed that when the leader boards were restored, our tickets that were accumulating on our profiles would be restored.  But they never were.  During the time you were doing work on the site, the leader boards would sporadically show up but with incorrect data.  The weekly leader boards (for total tickets and for the individual game)  would often have numbers where the weekly numbers were higher than the All Time numbers (like what’s happening on the Alu’s Revenge Game now).  Often, on the games, the All time leader board would start over every day.  After a few weeks, this settled down, BUT  our Lifetime Ticket numbers that show correctly in our profiles were never returned to the overall All Time Ticket Leader Board.  The people where this discrepancy would show up would be those people who were playing and earning tickets during that 2+ week period more than a year ago. 

I am not confusing the numbers with the available tickets for trying to win an award.  I am talking about the Lifetime total that shows up in everyone’s profile vs the number of all time tickets the Leader Board says they have.  If everyone who has been playing for more than a year would look at their profiles and the leader board, they will see how many tickets are missing from their leader board total.  HSN, you can verify this by picking anyone who was playing a year and half or two years ago and comparing their numbers. 

Hopefully, someone has a better memory than I do and can give you a more specific time when the discrepancy started.  Or perhaps they can check.  I know there are quite a few posts (including mine) that have mentioned this problem over the years.  I believe it happened when you first introduced some new games in addition to the core games you started with.  Because it is a widespread problem, I don’t think it should be solved piecemeal one person at a time.  Hopefully, when you see the problem (even though this has been posted about many times in the past), you will be able to do some kind of an across the board update of the All Time Leader Board for total tickets earned.

HSN, as DubuqueRams said, this is not just a problem for a few, and the Arcade Team should not have to be flooded with Help forms filled out by every single person who has happened to notice the discrpancy. Although I have submitted the form myself, I ask that you please act on our behalf and make a plea for them to fix this for everyone. I would not mind if they took the Arcade down for as long as it would take to rebuild the Arcade All Time Leaderboard with the total Lifetime tickets that appear in all of our profiles. 

I sent a email on behalf of EVERYONE saying that this has been a problem for some time and that it needs to be fixed for everyone. That doing it one at a time was not going to remedy the problem. But I also gave myself as an example. HSN cannot say that they didn’t know that this is the situation, however whoever responded to my original post might be new and not aware. 

But this has been an issue for a long time and when I addressed this problem before with HSN all I was told was to use the Lifetime tickets as your actual total. That means the WHOLE of the LB, with the exception of the top few are off…
