Arcade players-Is it possible to achieve the same game scores on a laptop as on a PC?
Would appreciate input from the Arcade players as to the question if scoring is more difficult on a laptop than a regular PC.?
I used to play all the time, but lost my main PC in an electrical storm. Since then, it has been the laptop all the way, and I didn;t play games for a long time because of that
I recently found I could play some games on the laptop, but it;s not quite the same. I did learn to play Demensions-sp-but it took a while.
My questions is, can the same speed be achieved with practice on a laptop? Can a laptop ever be more effective than a PC?
Wishing everyone a great day!

I play on a high-end laptop, and I’ve had problems playing games until I recently discovered that the power settings have a LOT to do with how the games play. For best results, do not use any power-conserving settings. It does make a difference. And if you’re used to using a mouse, get one for your laptop. The touch pad makes me crazy.

Thank you all for your insights!
That is really helpful, and a little morale booster as well!

That is a good question Mari9012 and one that is easy to answer. It all depends on the quality of the equipment. A high end laptop with a fast processor would be much better than a low end pc with a slow processor. and you can reverse that logic. Also the quality of the screen plays a big part…the higher the resolution the better you can see… thus better scores. So yes, a laptop can be more effective than a pc. I am not a great player. I use a quad core pc and do fairly well. I also use a medium quality dual core laptop sometimes. Not much difference in scores for me but for a really good player there would be a noticeable difference. Hope this helps….:manhappy:

I use a PC with a WIRED mouse…my hubby uses a laptop with a wireless mouse…I cannot play as well on a laptop…I don’t think it plays as fast or as accurately as my PC does. It might have to do with the size of the screen…the control of the mouse, the lack of interferance with the wired mouse as opposed to the wireless…too many factors to take into consideration. I did play with a wireless mouse on the PC…it DID play differently and NOT as well.

I also use my laptop with wirless mouse most of the time. I prefer it because I can see it better.. I have to move too close to my pc and that’s uncomfortable. I think I get the same scores either way.
Now how about some folks tell us how they do with a TOUCH SCREEN laptop or pc????

I’ve always used a laptop, with a wireless mouse attached. I think I get fairly high scores an average amount of the time.
I don’t know about a tablet though, and I couldn’t use the arcade on my phone at all.
I hope this helps!
I hope you have a wonderful day as well!
