Diane Gilman bottoms…fed up!

I’m sorry that you have had so much trouble with the fit of the DG pants and it’s info like this that keeps me from even bothering to try them. Thank you! BUT make sure that  you DO review them on the product page. A lot of people don’t come to the forums and rely on what the reviews say. 

oh sorry and thanks for the info. i need jeans and was wanting to try hers but keep reading poor reviews. ugh. maybe i will look into yummy and/or DKNY. 

Agreed, got mine today and had exactly the same issues! I will be writing a review… But, I will add, that I did call customer service at HSN and they’re superb, so on that note they did help me immensely!! Try a call and I think they will help you!! Good Luck!! :heart: :womanhappy:

Funny you found the waist too high. I cannot wear them at all because it is too low for me!

I am sorry you have had such a bad experience with DG2.  I have sent some back for sizing but for the most part, they have been good for me.  I didn’t order this last TS because I still have last years bermudas and they are still holding up well so I didn’t need any more.    You have alot of good observations and some I have wondered about too.  

I am so sorry, gise427. I hear your frustration and I think we’ve all experienced it with the
Inconsistencies of her sizing and fabrics. I received mine, today. I have to say I love them. I bought a few pairs last year and they still look great. That is why I bought 7 pairs this time. The only flaw I noticed is the ivory pair is cut a little bit smaller, but they still fit okay. Sounds like I was the lucky one this time because I am thrilled with my purchase. Again, I am sorry they didn’t work for you.

Hello gise427,  I too am sorry for you bad experiences with the DG2 line. Agree Customer Service should know about it, and try to assist.  I have had the fading happen that you mentioned, especially the black that are now charcoal gray!

i don’t keep buying things that don’t work for me.   if i kept buying dg2 bottoms, i’d probably go into a frustration crazed spin.  they work for some and that is great.   i have good luck with the tops.

her jeans do vary greatly based on classic,stretch and super stretch. I too range from a 4 to a 10. But I will always get her super stretch going forward. LOVE the fit and LOVE even more that hubs compliments me everytime I wear them! lol( he always says they look great in the bum!! lol  I would pay double for that! lol lol lol

I so understand your frustration with fit.  Like others have stated the different styles have different cuts and it is good if you can call hsn and have them rush you out a better size.  often they can do this if they are sending you out a new size.  If you do not pay within so long they remind you then charge you.  On the bermuda shorts here is my tip.  I am small with skinny ankles so they almost hit the ground as all things do so I style them and they are amazing.  I roll the cuffs so cute just where I want and I wear a one of her tanks with any tee or shirt on top showing some of the tank underneath.  Bermudas are coming back and we are just not yet used to styling them 🙂  I hope this helps I have things that have just not worked for me like I have two pair of her leather faux fur that just are not me.  Got them for $6 each and free ship.  Wish there was a place for us to trade things :).  I love diane because she puts her things on deep clearance so you can often get things so cheap while still in season.  Also she has just always predicted the fashion future 🙂

gise427….I so agree with you!!!  I don’t get the sizing either and I am no slouch when it comes to shopping! The last pair I ordered (I think they were the skinny jeans with zippers at the bottom) were so terrible. Too high waisted and so uncomfortable. I have given up also. So I bought a pair of Miss Me jeans and yes-they are expensive. BUT they fit like a dream. Mid rise curvy fit me perfect. Comfortable and cool looking. I wear them to work and wear them to dinner without the fear of being uncomfortable after I eat something! The DG’s were just horrible. I’ll gladly buy one great pair of expensive jeans that fit great instead of wasting my time and money on DG’s. And I love what HSN has to offer and love shopping on HSN but this is one thing that doesn’t work for me. Thanks for the heads up on the bermudas-I’ll order Miss Me bermudas instead. :cathappy: 

I THINK DIANE  WAS TRYING TO PLEASE TO MANY OF US.A LOT OF US  ME TO HAD BIGGER WAISTES THEN THE BABY BOOMER WHO WERE FITTING INTO SMALLER SIZES AND THEY HAD NOTHING FOR US. I WAS A 7 BUT HAD A BREAK DOWN AND WITH MEDICATION I AM NOW 35 WAIST .THERE. ARE MORE COMPANYS IN HSN WITH JEANS.i do hope you find your right size.I wish i was your size take care NETTEA 9:50am  4/11/2015

I think this thread proves the wide diversity of sizes and body types of HSN’S customers.
What works for one might not work for another. I am willing to pay more for quality. Maybe this is the reason for her inconsistency as she tries to keep the cost affordable for everyone. I have a drawer full of Miss Me and Silver jeans that I have been slowly selling on ebay because I now prefer Yummie. I’ve had my issues with DG jeans, but I always find DG denim is my ultimate favorite for comfort. I guess I am showing my age because comfort trumps style, Lol. With DG, I feel I have the best of both worlds. Some frustration to find that world, but so happy when I find it 🙂

Still have the same two problems with DG jeans that I had the first time I purchased several pairs years ago.  The sizing is inconsistent and expensive to keep sending jeans back that don’t fit and the dye used on the black jeans smells horrific.  I gave it ten years.  That was long enough to fix these two problems.  Buy no more until at least one problem is resolved.
