What do you use your air fryer for?
I’m curious about this because I have teenage boys who are always hungry and I would like a new gadget! I know about the fried stuff to warm up like fries, cheese sticks, etc.. But what about real food like a chicken or even a turkey breast? My boys like drumsticks so I thought I would try that first.. How easy is this? Thank-you!

Thank-you for all the replies.. I did purchase one.. Cooked fried chicken legs and steak.. It seemed like a lot of work but I’m sure the more I try, the easier it’ll become. So many people have these in their kitchens.. : )

The potato rounds sounds heavenly. I also use left over baked potatoes in mine. Cut them lengthwise or horizontal, sprinkle dill and paprika over them and if you like a little oil, then put them in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 3-5 minutes on one side and then flip them over and do the other side. I set the fryer for 360 degrees. I actually bake them until crispy. You can do this with newly baked potatoes as long as you let them cool for about a half hour in the frig. That way they don’t crumble when you cut them. And, yes, Velvet, there are times when I wish they made even a larger one so you could make a turkey leg, turkey wing or turkey breast. Can you imagine the fun we all would have.

I cooked chicken breast tenders for my husband in our air fryer this past weekend. He marinated them for a couple of hours before. They came out really nice.

The capacity is not large enough for a turkey breast or turkey drumsticks.

Well, guess better late than never. I own 3 air fryers, all purchased from HSN. The last one I purchased is the Phillips Air Fryer XL which is my favorite. I have made barbecued ribs, pork chops (with and without the bone), chicken legs, chicken breasts, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. I use the same seasonings as if they would go into the oven. The only thing I do differently is to cook it less time and no oil. Because of food allergies I do not buy anything frozen, though I’ve made frozen onion rings for hubby which came out perfect. Best part the cleaning is a breeze. Just soak in hot water for a few minutes with a little detergent and it comes clean with no elbow grease. For some reason the food tastes better in the air fryer than the oven. Everyone thinks I am a gourmet cook (LOL),, but no where near it. Why 3? I have a home in the Northeast and Florida and one less thing to pack —–need I say more?
Oh, forgot to mention. Yes, I do use oil from time to time. Just a dab on one side of meat, poultry, veal or pork. Not necessary to use oil and I have gone without for most dishes. I would definitely be lost without my Phillips.

I’m surprised no one replied to your question since so many people now have air fryers in their kitchens. I use mine for tuna melt sandwiches, ham & cheese sandwiches, taquito’s, chicken strips, onion rings, sweet potato fries, french fries, steak fries, heating rolls, toast, and more.
