Skinny Minny on air recipes
I ordered the today’s special ( even spoke on air), last night. There were a few items they cooked that I liked. The oatmeal with the eggs; the pasta &shrimp; the macaroni and cheese etc.. I now know that those recipes are not included. Can anyone who has made these items provide details on how to prepare them? I am no very skilled at guessing..

I am looking for those recipes as well. I went to the HSN site and there are no recipes for the Skinny Mini, but there are for her other items. I called HSN customer service and asked them to post recipies featured on air to the site. You might all wish to do the same. Also went to Lorena’s website on Internet and asked the same. The only recipe cards that come with the cooker are:
– Chicken and Rice Chop-Chop
– Chicken Soup
– Couscous and Cranberries
– Greek Style Omelette
– Lorena’s Mac & Cheese
– Quinoa & Poblano Medley
– Sweet Corn & Cilantro Rice
– Steamed Zucchini
– Steamed Vegetable Timbal
– Steamed Peas with Ham
– Steamed Mussels
– Peruvian Style Steamed FishI’ll be watching to see if I can get my hands on some recipes from the wonderful HSN community or Internet and if I do, I’ll be back to share them with you. Here’s hoping.

I ordered this TSV. I find it a little concerning that I could not find one recipe to use in this cooker. Hopefully more recipes will be posted.

I just ordered the Skinny Mini also and am hoping to find a website or something with recipes to use with it. It was the Arroz con Pollo on air that made my decision to order and that’s the type of recipe I’m hoping to find. Hope HSN can help us out with suggestions. I have a feeling that we can figure it out ourselves after a number of recipe ideas but need that beginning info about possible combos and liquid needed. If anyone reading this has used the Mini, ideas would be much appreciated. :smileyhappy:

I would love basic information like liquid ratio for oatmeal and how to do proteins etc..

I have Puck’s rice cooker too, but decided to get Chef Garcia’s Skinny Mini (Green) because I prefer the easy open / see through lid and rim on the inner pot like kaekae mentioned below. That makes for easier handling and for adding cheese, etc if desired. One of the food items demonstrated that I liked the most was the poached egg with oatmeal and on every presentation I saw, they said the recipe is simply: one Skinny Mini Measuring cup of oatmeal with one cup of water in the base and a ramekin cup in the steamer basket where you would put an egg or two. I’m really looking forward to trying this recipe – love poached eggs and do enjoy oatmeal. I never saw a real need for ramekin cups before, but now I’m in the market to purchase one or two and that steamer basket is a big plus.

I would love it someone who saw her do the cake could comment on how to do it. I know she said to run it through two cycles with the lid on the second time, don’t know if the first cooking was with lid on. Did anyone get the recipe? I would love to try a small cornbread. Thanks

I also purchased the Skinny Mini, and have WPs 1.5 cup and 10 cup. I also highly recommend Simply the Best Rice Cooker Recipes by Marian Getz. Each rice cooker I have purchased comes with different recipes.

I ordered the Skinny Mini for my college-bound daughter specifically for the on-air uses: pancakes, cakes, oatmeal, pasta. I’ve never bought anything from HSN before; I assumed that I would receive instructions/recipes for the uses shown on air.
Is it usual for HSN to present a product and then offer no info for customers on how to use it the way its been demonstrated? Very disappointed.

You can use any recipe for a 5 or 6 cup rice cooker and just cut it in half. Check Pinterest and/or google Rice Cooker Recipes.
