Rice Cooker- Portable from Wolfgang Puck- FABULOUS!
Saturday, Oct 10-2015… What a FABULOUS Rice Cooker! What a FABULOUS Deal! Original Price $40, Today’s price $20 w/ $4.95 s/h.
I got two for Xmas Gifts. One for my sister who has had two surgeries in the last six months (knee and shoulder). Food is her biggest problem right now. She lives extremely rurally (i.e. no restaurants around to speak of to get ‘take-out’), and, she can’t stand and cook in the kitchen either. She’s been subsisting on Frozen food… yuk. This Portable Rice Cooker will be PERFECT for her! Got her the Black one.
I also got one for my niece who is living in a college dorm. She’s a vegetarian, loves all that brown rice & veggies, so, this will be perfect for her… especially since the ratio of rice-to-water is 1-to-1… easy-peasy! Got her the Yellow cuz her favourite flowers are Daffodils!

I am really impressed with this cooker and have been going back and forth trying to decide whether to get Wolfgang’s or the one with the steamer basket by Lorena Garcia that is a little different. This one works like a pressure cooker and I really like the fact that HSN didn’t completely clog up Youtube with ONLY HSN demos and haven’t allowed ANY regular people’s reviews or uses like they have for the Lorena cook system. I couldn’t find ANY on her system that were ACTUAL REVIEWS! I found (of course…) some of the promo demo showson this one but what was REALLY nice was there were regular people showing their recipes and uses (amts. and types of ingredients, how long to cook {times pressing the cook button and if stir or turning needed}, & more). It was great seeing the things REGULAR consumers have invented or adapted to cook quickly in this one. I was thinking that the steamer basket might offer a little more divisersity so I ordered the Lorena one and also noticed that ALL previous reviews posted had been completely removed so I couldn’t check others thoughts on it I also noticed that I didn’t see Wolfgang’s cooker available at the time I placed the order. They may have just been out at the moment. Well, I guess I will try the other and see how it goes, of course I may just get this one whether or not I keep the other. This one really does SO many things well. Being alone I could make quick homemade soups, stews, turkey chili and have plenty to freeze for later! I just REALLY wish I could find some opinions on the Lorena one. I REALLY don’t care for and wouldn’t be interested in the recipes she has, I like Wolfgang’s better, but I like the idea of cooking Quinoa on the bottom and Salmon and vegies in the basket.

They’re so darn cute I’m tempted to get one just to stare at it. I’ll get at least one to stash away for a gift.

We love steel oats in the rice cooker, we add apples, dried tart cherries, raisins and goji berries, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, vanilla extract – yum! Sticks to your bones during the cool autumn weather 🙂

Love your post FaireMaiden! I ordered the yellow also and am so excited to get it. I’m also a vegetarian and have Fibromyalgia so I look for easy ways to cook, clean, etc. I bought the cookbook also. What a great price for these! Your sister and neice are going to be happy I’m sure to get something they can use!
