Chef Curtis Stone’s Lid Rest does not last, it ruined from the hot pan cover lid
Chef Curtis Stone’s lid rest was a gift and I used it a few times as well as earlier today, but today I noticed the lid rest ruined when I placed a hot frying glass pan cover on it.
A lid rest should accept hot, room temp, or cold pan lids .
His lid rest is not 18/10 stainless steel, so it ruined.
It was not manufactured to last and accept without ruining very hot various size pan and cookware/bakeware lids.
This is a throw away item which really made me sad and the gift recipient said hers also ruined.
We both suggest Chef Curtis Stone re-design his lid rest so it will last and last , and be designed in 18/10 stainless steel, which can withhold all hot , cold, room temperature pan lid covers, and items without ruining, and also remain very sanitary to use and keep clean.
It is a shame that this happened since everyone works hard to make their dollar stretch during these financial worry some times.
To have this occur only makes us question if purchasing an item will ensure it is manufactured to do what is promised and visibly demonstrated by HSN Vendors & HSN Show Hosts on HSN national televised presentations. and video’s.
I was hoping to use the lid rest with the Curtis Stone stove top indoor Smoker I just ordered and is being delivered to me soon, but of course that smoker casserole type pan and glass cover will become very hot because smoking foods is a very long and slow low temperature process, but nevertheless the item will become red hot.
I watched the HSN Durapan stove top indoor smoker presentation on HSN and youtube where Chef Stone placed the smoker’s glass broiling hot casserole pan cover on his same lid rest, and I am sure that lid rest would also eventually ruin as mine did, and I now cannot use the lid rest anymore.
