Needing the name of a jewelry designer, whose logo was a honey bee.
Needing the name of a jewelry designer, whose logo was a honey bee.
She is a former HSN vendor, and sold jewelry here a few years ago.
Every piece of her jewelry had a honey bee on it, often a tiny charm near a clasp.
I bought a few of her items, and now I’m wanting to sell them on Ebay.
Her items were very expensive, I think mainly because of her name and logo.
I think I can get a better price at Ebay if I include her name in my item description.
Does anyone remember her?
One of her items was a necklace and bracelet using pink rhodocrosite and pearls.
Also a necklace using amethysts, pearls, and turquoise dyed magnasite.
And a necklace using red and green stones, which would be perfect for Christmas.
There was also a ring with a tiny honey bee sitting near the edge of the main stone.
She had other items, but these are the ones I remember and bought a few of them.

the only jewelry designer that i remember incorporating a lot of bee motifs in her line as her signature is the great and late entertainer, joan rivers. (miss and love you joan!!! xoxo)
however, joan sold most of her jewelry on QVC as well as through her flagship show room in nyc- named “joan rivers worldwide.” (which is still in existence today and is still run by david dangle. i suggest you check out their face book page for more information.)
as for hsn, i know that former model shannon tweed and her daughter sophie sold a line of very popular jewelry here on hsn many, many years ago but i don’t remember whether or not their line had a bee motif to it.
also, i think that nyc jewelry designer stephen dweck may have had a brief stint here on hsn before being snatched up by qvc. his line ALWAYS has some type of bee motif running through it. he designs a lot of pieces based on his influence by nature and the natural world.
i hope this helps!!! if i think of some other designers, i’ll let you know.
good luck!!!
and, please share if you find out who the maker of your pieces are.
just curious.

i just thought of something.
call hsn customer service and request the contact information for the
hsn jewelry dept.
i say take some photos of your jewelry- as up close to the insignia as possible- and then
email them or mail them as instructed to the jewelry dept. at hsn.
i’m sure that after a bit of investigation they will come up with something.
this is what i would do.
just food for thought… xoxo

Please post a photo of one of the necklaces here…it would help. It sounds much like Amy Kahn Russell’s creations or early Deb Guyot…

Could it have been Liz Claiborne/Kate Spade?

I think I know who you mean, she did all nature inspired, and there were a lot of bees. Her name is Joan Hornig.
-
I thought it was Joan Rivers on QVC – she did honey bee pins etc.
-
and , I think you are right! Joan Hornig was on HSN. I went to YouTube and there’s a video of her with Helen and “Bee and Bark” pieces. I also Googled Joan Hornig Bee Jewelry and looked at the Images. I think this might be the vendor.
P.S. The jewelry pics posted here are so beautiful. What gorgeous pieces.

That green looks like malachite to me. Look on ebay and see what similar pieces sell for. Are the pearls real? I think without a designer, and it doesn’t look like sterling or vermeil they’d be 20-30.

They look like red and green agate to me…there is green agate that has a malachite look to it….
