JM OVER THE DOOR JEWELRY CHEST
Did see it a few times. Just wanted to know how well it works?
Is it very heavy? Also how is the compartments?
I have a amoire in my large closet. Also various jewelry boxes, etc.
Need to get more organized.
Need some feedback from anyone that does have it?

I have the over-the-door jewelry armoire, and overall I like it very much. There are two BIG drawbacks, however. One is that the magnets that are supposed to keep the door to the armoire closed are so small that when I close the door, the armoire door flies open. I’m going to Michaels to see if I can get some larger, but still thin, magnets to replace them. The second big drawback is that there is a second mirror inside. The outside door is a mirror, so I think this is excessive, and the space could have been used for more of the bracelet wells. I have it in white. I needed another armoire, but didn’t have room in my bedroom for another one. I thought this would be a good compromise, and I was right. If Joy would fix those two things, I think it would be a great product. With the way it is now, I think it is a good product. HTH. :-”

I always put a piece of chalk in my jewelry box(es) to absorb the excess moisture. It definitely helps reduce tarnishing. They also sell the anti-tarnish cloth at the crafts store, although its effectiveness diminishes over time. As long as you replace it every 6 months or so, you should be okay. Hope this helps!

Hi JAG,
The ‘over the door’ armoire is not a JM product. It does come in two sizes. I have 2 of the larger ones, (in the leopard) and like them very much. There are 12 bracelet compartments, (more if you choose to place more in the well of the compartment) and plenty of room for both long and short necklaces, in addition to earring slots. One this to remember, JAG, is that it is ‘not’ lined with an anti-tarnish lining but if you’re crafty, you can do that yourself. I have several other armoires in addition to about 30 of the Colleen Lopez Jewelry Boxes (which are, ‘anti-tarnish’).
It is not that heavy that you would have trouble picking it up to affix it over a door.
It ‘is what it is’ for $149….. what else can I say?
Hope this helps…
Darlene
