Hi ?, I read your post & gave it more thought. I do agree with you after thinking on it some more & with the amount of years I have been on the forum, sometimes just reading and not posting there are a lot of times when I just see a nic and I just know it’s going to be a drill seargent know it all so I just scroll on. You really gave me some food for thought as well as ? & ?  also to the others as well as the original ? (miss you massha!). I am always open to looking at both sides of a situation so I appreciate all of you adding additional input to this situation.

While I may not come on everyday I realize some people do as they come on to play the games and such & then read the forum. There are some that give absolutely nothing that contributes or is of advantage to the forum ever. I know life isn’t sunshine and a box of chocolates as I have faced that myself personally.

I have to admit I know of one such person who I will not list the name of the nic that in all the years I have been on here everytime I see the persons name I cringe as  I just know it is going to be backbiting,negative,condescending,reprimanding and then I see it stirs up conflict on the forum & this person never cares they just continue & they never apologize or have anything nice to add to the forum or start a topic to the forum.They just wait lurking to grab onto someone to give them the smackdown & try to embarrass them or get them defensive & stir dissension on the forum & I don’t like to see that.

I could go on and on. I am not writing this end part to start anything and do not wish for it to be a “festival” to start demeaning anyone as I will absolutely not list the name of the nic.I would be totally embarrassed if I were this person, however ignorance is bliss so they say??? LOL. I just wanted to use it as an example so please I hope no one adds to this and makes this thread a fighting match please? I just want everyone to know I am not a closed minded person and after reading some of your thoughts & opinions I gave more thought & totally respect and understand your comments on the situation. It can make the threads go on and on when you keep seeing stuff that is redundant. I totally understand. If we did have the “ignore” button I would totally have some on my ignore list.

I was thinking of it in another way at first but now I totally understand that you all are saying it takes so much time reading thru all the rigamaroo to find what you are really interested in reading for the day. I know I wrote a book so who knows people may put ME on their ignore list and that is fine too. I can’t be liked by everyone, however I am at peace with myself & don’t need to be loved by everyone. God first, man second. Thank you for the enlightenment 🙂 ? thank you for your input as well, you give a lot of great input as well and love your positive contribution to the forum & your posts. Thanks to a lot of people the forum has been quite interesting as of late with great topics on beauty, fashion, general life questions, etc. I believe life should be about building each other up not tearing one another down. Think I am corney if you will but I know my heart & my motives are pure as I have no hidden agenda. I have an illness that cannot be cured and am in constant pain & my joy & to get my mind off myself & my pain is to bring joy to other peoples lives and if I can help someone & put a smile on someones face that makes my day. I really enjoy meeting new people & interracting, however burn me once shame on you, burn me twice I am done. And I do believe that what goes around comes around. If you mistreat people it will come back to bite you big time. Sometimes people just don’t make sense but the lesson taught me not to trust even more. That is not a threat just reality as I have been burned way too many times by people that I slowly learned to trust and then they burned me in the end.

Hi ?.  You make a good point.  It’s kind of difficult not to read some posts within topics.  This is because of the way the forums are designed.  There’s a topic, then many people post.  How does one avoid the posts?  This can’t be achieved w/o an ignore button.

Lastly, the good thing (imo) about an ignore feature is that those who want to read all the topics and posts associated with a topic can do so, because they don’t have to use the ignore feature.

An ignore feature is just asking HSN to give us options.  Not take away anything.
