How do i clean technibond jewelry?
Got a bracelet for my mom. She has worn and loved it. A few months later it has turned a dark muddy coppery color. Can I get it back to its original gold???

? Hello! I don’t have any technibond, so I don’t know what the right way to clean it is. I read that surface discoloration will rub off w a silver cleaning cloth, but if it is tarnished beneath the outside layer, it cannot be fixed. I hope someone else can shed some light on this :).

YOU PROBABLY NEED TO ADDRESS TO CUSTOMER SVC. HOPEFULLY IT’S NOT JUST TARNISHED (THIS SHOULDN’T BE HAPPENING JUST A FEW MOS LATER!). I CLEAN ALL MY JEWELRY WITH TARNEX. BE CAREFUL – DON’T LEAVE IT IN THERE MORE THAN 1-2 SECONDS. HOWEVER…..!!! A LOT OF MY TECHNIBOND HAS ENDED UP IN TRASH – THE GOLD WORE OFF ON MOST PIECES. HOPE THIS ISN’T THE CASE WITH YOUR MOM’S. BUYER BEWARE.

If it newer Technibond (last few years) if the discoloration is going to come off use a polishing cloth. The new Technibond tarnishes very easy which is why most of us stopped buying it. Once it’s clean make sure you store any Technibond in an anti tarnish jewelry box.
