Hello, Heidi Girls…. long time, no chat!
Hello, Heidi Girls! It’s been very quiet on this fan thread for a long time …..
Any of you shopping Heidi’s new stuff as yet? I’ve already ordered the new elephant pin; I may not have a chance to watch Heidi’s shows on July 5 so I know I’m going to miss out on a bunch of stuff. Hope she has some art deco pieces (smaller scale designs) this time.
-
Bigger and more expensive, yes. I kept a few of these super large pieces, even though I gather, in a year or two they will be no longer possible to wear (remember those huuuge things from the 80’s?). These pins on the TS were truly gigantic. And so was the necklace I got from her site – clear beads and a shiny blue anchor – I kept it, but I was slightly shocked to open the package, because it was all so huge!
At least, she understand the need for variety – the pins she brought last time, like the pigggy and small elephant, were smallish.

So I was all going to send the gray TS back. And then I received the jewel-print Jacket from SimplyBe and realized, that the pin/pendant is amazingly PERFECT on that jacket. So I took scissors and pried the durn latch open. It worked. I gather, any old implement – butter knife, flat wider screwdriver, whatever- would do too. I had to use the mirror to close the necklace, but it worked. I am keeping it, then. Just too amazing of a match to the jacket in the size and shape of the center stone and overall pin to let it go. I do it the way Heidi showed on the show – pin on the shoulder of the jewel print jacket, necklace closed without pendant on the neck. This jacket with that pin are not for the shy. Me – I am not shy, I love festive and grand. I actually wore this jacket over Antthony’s pink top with sequined acrobats! I would have definitely sent it back if not for the jacket 😀
Massha – I did return the TSs that I had ordered. They were just toooooo big for me (I guess I’m one of “shy” ones! :-s ) and I was having too much trouble with the clasps anyway. However, I did keep my arrived-broken Boho Chic cabochon necklace and will try to have it repaired. It is so unique. Returned the matching earrings though – again, just too big for me. Sigh. I caught some of Heidi’s appearances today .. She is as lovely as ever but do Heidi’s pieces seem to be getting bigger and bigger and pricier and pricier …. .?

speaking of pins – i had an opposite problem with one of my favorites – a frog pin – the one that looks like he’s climbing – i wore him to a convention/trade show. he had only been out for a few times because he was so special to me. later in the day, i realized the pin had come open – he was gone. the clasp opened easily and it simply fell off.
someone was very lucky that day.
-
Chinnu – I felt completely “special” today trying to open the pin. At least I do not feel quite as dumb now that I see I am not the only one who failed to open the clasp. I could not do it. I did not want to use pliers for the fear of breaking something. Worse yet, the pin does not come off of the circle when closed. I was hoping to wear other pins with this necklace.
Yes, it is a bit too large on me, but doable. If it was half the size it is now, it would have been a very useful wearable piece of jewelry. Something is happening to Heidi’s sense of proportion, the other necklaces I got are awfully large too – fun as a casual piece but not that much for work or elegant events.
I will send the gray one back I think, but I might keep the purple one, if I figure out how to open the durn thing.
Other things I got are really fun. I got the elephant, and the piggy pins, and the supersized heart pendant on champagne glass bead necklace that was advertised along with the TS. That one got a lot of compliments on my trip to a conference in New Orleans, including one weird one (“I thought you were from Texas! That necklace is so Texas!”) -
Hello all,
Good to read all your reviews and drool!
Tillie123, I’m glad your Boho Chic necklace arrived intact. Mine arrived broken in 3 places and in 2 pieces 🙁 . I also have the smaller pumpkin pin and enjoyed wearing it last fall.
Maasha – I ordered the TS in 3 colors but the pin/pendant is very large (on me). Wish it was smaller. Were you able to open the clasps? I cannot get them open and am afraid to force them with pliers or something. I also have the small elephant pin in the olivine combo – love it,
I did get a few other lovely pieces so there is some good news! =d>

I like how the TS strand solves her other pins (needle of pin going across on back), don’t you agree? Sorry hope that makes sense. She demonstrated using the pumpkin pin and the elephant pin on the TS pearl strands. I have both pumpkin pins, and they are just adorable, but if you are contemplating getting one, I’d go with the smaller one, because the bigger one is B I G. I think the smaller one is more wearable. :-”

Fabulous anniversary and a TS are they not? I wish the pin/pendant was a bit smaller… Heck, no I don’t. I am currently trying to justify buying third color in TS. I grabbed the heart necklace on an impulse though so don’t want to buy the same color way… I want that dragon bracelet so bad too! The only thing holding me in check is that I do not wear bracelets much, and all fabulous bracelets I do own are just sitting in the cabinets. I’m not feeling the TS this time around. I have several similar necklaces, so am just in the market for new and different. So, I’m standing pat with the Boho pieces this month. But boy howdy, are they winners!!!!! :d/ =d>

Where is the Heidi forum????? Sally
Hi Sally!! I don’t know what happened to it. I guess no one posted to it for so long, so it got deleted.
Have you seen Heidi’s new things? I fell in love with the Boho necklace and earrings, and they are already on their way to my house – $50 off the necklace and FREE SHIPPING on both pieces!!!! And extra Flex with HSN card!! Holy cow, I couldn’t press the buy button fast enough!! I have been wanting a necklace just like this for a long time. I would love it if she did it in other colorways – like blues or reds/pinks. wow, would that be pretty!! :d/ =d>
Ok, so I got the Boho necklace and earrings two days ago, and the necklace, I have to say, is absolutely STUNNING. I have a number of favorites amongst Heidi’s pieces, but this is right up there at the top of the list. I think it would be gorgeous if done in shades of blue and shades of red/pink as well. I think the earrings are a little on the large size for the necklace, but will be keeping them as they compliment the necklace well. I just think they could have been a little smaller in scale. But the necklace really is breathtaking. It’s NOT going back!! :d/ =d>

Hey just wanted to revisit that big red TS necklace that I kept. It actually works with some semi-casual fun tunics. It is very big and very red, but this season, with tunics it works. I have a black tunic with red flower and birdie and some red motifs, this necklace really completes it. It is not to the usual Heidi standards as the station keeps flipping around, but I am still enjoying it.
Had to order a couple pins yesterday. Got the piggy and the small elephant that’s on sale now. Piggy looks absolutely adorable online and I imagine, will be so on me as well. I wish Heidi would start adding an enhancer clasp to the back of her pins to make it easier to use them on necklaces.

Hi Chinnu – Thank you for the tip on the other fan thread. How did you find out about it? I wonder why it’s moved?
My Deco Waterfall necklace and earrings come tomorrow I’ll let you know how I like them.
I used to travel for Citidata doing seminars, it finally wore me out. I hope you enjoy South America.
Warmly – Sally

Hi Tillie – I would go to the forum and no one had posted, so I didn’t either and should have. I am glutted with Heidi Daus necklaces etc. but still seem to find things I love. I was going to post a review of everything I had gotten but the Heidi’s forum disappeared before I got it together. I just ordered the Deco Waterfall necklace and earrings. I love birds, so it’s perfect for me. I wish I had had it for the wedding I just attended. Oh well, I wore Heidi’s Green Envy set with the large square green stone on a pearl necklace and large drop earrings. All evening people kept saying, “You look like a Queen.” Thank you to them because I felt like a Queen.
My black evening dress would have been very plain without the jewelry. Heidi always says, “Keep your clothes simple and jewelry fabulous,” so I followed our leaders instructions. loll
Sigh, whey do I love jewelry so much? I should have married a jeweler!Let us know how you like the Boho set.
Warmly – Sally
Hi Sally and Tillie – you can find the Heidi forum if you google HSN + Heidi Daus + fan . I was going to post there but then saw this thread. Sally – I’m with you – looooove jewelry! It’s almost an addiction!
Tillie – I also ordered the Boho necklace; am half-hoping that I won’t like it so I will return it and not spend so much as I have also ordered the “Be linked in” necklace and earrings (have wanted that necklace for a long time and Heidi just brought it back).I will miss all of Heidi’s appearances this week as I’m on business travel in Brazil (arrived here today) and Argentina for 2 weeks. Please post lots of details so that I can enjoy Heidi’s shows vicariously through you [-o< I will also miss the opportunity for a lot of her special priced items during the live shows 🙁 . Hope you enjoy her shows!
