Heidi Daus costume jewelry expensive?

Yes, her jewelry is on the expensive side but it’s very pretty! I bought one beautiful necklace that I can wear everyday and I always get compliments whenever I have it on! I spent around $130 for the necklace I bought and it was on 4 flex pays and I have to say I am glad I bought it because I can wear it either dressed up or with my skinny jeans! I agree with you that a lot of her pieces are "over the top" and can’t be worn everyday, so be careful when you buy a piece to make sure that it fits your "lifestyle". Hope this helped .. ??

I did buy one of her rings that was on clearance…but sent it back. I discovered that for the prices of this costume jewelry, I perfer to purchase real gold or silver…and real gems. My lifestyle does not give me the opportunity to even wear the Heidi pieces.  I wonder how much time is spent wearing the HD jewelry purchased? Does the jewelry spent more time on the body or in the box? I think this is a question to ask ourselves when buying expensive jewelry, if it is purchased to wear instead of as  investment assets.

No, her pieces are not practical for ‘everyday wear’. And, yes, her jewelry has always been expensive.

When it comes to jewelry, one must be discriminating. You have jewelry for day-wear, and jewelry for evening-wear. When I was young, I couldn’t afford to buy anything in Heidi’s price-range, but, now that I’m older, (much older, *lol*), and have disposable income, I still refuse to purchase her more expensive pieces.

Spending $600 for brass is ridiculous to me. However, having said that, (and after watching Heidi’s show for years), I did purchase two of her TSV necklaces a few months ago, (the ‘Divine Miss Daisy’ in Sapphire and Fuchsia– because these are the colours in my wardrobe that I wear most often).

Of course, I then had to get earrings to match, but, since I didn’t like the button earrings that went with these necklaces, I searched her earrings page and found two pairs of dangle earrings that would go with the necklaces.

I don’t wear these necklaces during the day, only in the evening when my husband and I go out for dinner, or attend charity functions, formal affairs, etc. I have worn one of the necklaces to a daytime wedding we went to tho. Of the earrings, I only wear the Blue during the day, the Pink ones are too much bling for daytime.

While I can certainly appreciate Heidi’s artistry, and can see why her pieces become ‘Collector’s Items’, I can’t justify buying much of her jewelry for, like you, it’s just not practical for my life-style. Still, I so enjoy having, and wearing, the few pieces I do have.

Perhaps that’s what you need to do too… think about those times when you are expected to dress-up, what colours you would wear, and purchase a couple of pieces from her line that would suit. Having the perfect ‘black dress’, so-to-speak, is not enough. You’ve got to have the shoes, the handbag, and the jewelry too. True, you may not wear it often at all but, when the time comes, it’s nice to know you have a complete, and stunning, ensemble in your closet.

Her jewelry seems ridiculously high to me, and somewhat gaudy. I couldn’t imagine myself wearing her jewelry anywhere, not even to a formal affair. It ls not my style but apparently a lot of people like lt.

Get the ones you like massha and try them on at home – you can always return if you don’t like one.  They’re going to sell out for sure.  So far I got the aqua and white opal.

Look at (366-854) Fantasy in Flight.  It’s comes in 4 different color combinations and is $125.00 with earrings.  A couple of these you could wear under the collar of the blouse at work, the ones that are mainly clear crystals might be too much for daytime unless you are a Beverly Hills Housewife..lol

Don’t worry about what people think, they are too busy admiring you and worrying about themselves.

 I have so much fun wearing her pieces, life should be fun.

I love her watches and smaller earrings and think they can be worn everyday. To me her larger pieces would be outfit specific for special events.

Her jewelry is gorgeous but I can’t justify paying her outrageous amounts, I got 1 of her necklaces it is subtle but pops I can wear it anywhere got in on clearance last year for under $90 I think w/coupon!! 

Hi highhopes,  I looovvvveeeee accessories and Heidi Daus is very much my style. However, I am in the medical field, wear scrubs and deal with patients, so for me to invest in her jewelry is not logical. I am off 1or 2 days a week and I stay home on my days off with my children…..really no need for elaborate jewelry.  After saying all that, I have ordered one of her pieces, the raven pin 339-433, it is from the Maleficent line. The pin fits my personality and is a momento of my fabulous HSN experience to the movie Premiere.  Btw, I got to meet Heidi and she is a doll, precious as can be!

I havent seen a lot of her jewelry I only hit on the program guide and about 4 necklaces came up to be shown on a future program and they were priced $299, $399 and the one on sale was for $599. So I just wondered why they were so high, thats all. I liked the one with the elephant but it was the $599 I think.

When someone posted a thread on the forum who would you like to look like on HSN I said Heidi Daus. She is beautiful and quite regal looking, so please I dont need a crash course in self confidence over this thread. and to say her jewelry is out of reach for the common customer means? Who said I cant afford it? Who says you have a larger bank account than I do?

Many of her necklaces are priced in the $300 range, and every now and then something will show up more than that – not a lot. 

I wear mine – everywhere. There is only a couple necklaces I do not wear to work, the rest I wear to work. I wear the big daisy necklace when I go somewhere in a dress. I wear them of course when I go out. I wear Heidi Daus many times each week.

I wear rings, necklaces and pins. not so often, bracelets (stay in the way at work), and earrings (most are too heavy for my ears).
