Hello, everyone! I’m just back from a business trip to Europe to find all kinds of new sparkly HD stuff on HSN – so exciting! I can’t access HSN / HD jewelry from my work laptop (access not allowed) so I had withdrawal symptoms for the whole week while travelling – it’s an addiction, I tell you. perfumegirl – welcome! I’m fairly new to this forum as well, and everyone is just so nice. wendytx – have a great cruise!
All – a question – how do you store your HD jewelry? The boxes take up so much room and I can’t see / remember what I have in this rapidly growing collection. Any recommendations for storage solutions? Thanks!!
Hi Chinnu. I too have asked suggestions for storing the HD pieces. I love the excel spreadsheet idea and I will have to look into what “avery tent cards” are. I bought a clear acrylic jewelry chest from Amazon. Each drawer pulls out and is lined with with a velvet-type material and can hold a few necklaces. I really like it because I can see everything. I wish the boxes had windows so that you can pull it from the sleeve without opening everything up. I don’t want to put stickers on the boxes. I put notes in the boxes so I know what’s what. I would love to see what Heidi does with her collection.
I just ordered the lily of the valley pin which I think is lovely.
The Avery tent cards hang on the side or end of the box (depending on how you store them). you can get them at places like staples….the package comes with a template that you load onto your computer then you just put the cardstock into your printer, fill in the template with up to 4 necklace names, print, separate and tag. I have my black boxes in stacks and the tent card hangs off the end with the name of the necklace clearly visible. My spreadsheet is maintained every time I buy a piece – I copy the picture, discription, cost, date of purchase, etc …just to show you how anal I can be – I have a second spreadsheet I call ‘seasons’ and each necklace name- when purchased- is added to the season in which it is most appropriate….then, say it’s spring, I can go right to the ‘Spring’ season column and see which necklaces will go best. It’s easy as your collection grows to forget what you have, what it looks like, how heavy it is, etc, gotta have the tools LOL!!! Good luck and let me know what you find that works for you.

I just received the new Koi pin and honestly, unless your a Pisces I have to say PASS. It’s small and not all that interesting looking. Now, if you really do like the look then it’s very well made. I think I’m just disappointed that it wasn’t one big Koi like the bangle.

I store mine in their original boxes with an avery tent card identifying each box. I, also, have an expel spreadsheet with pictures and HSN identification of each item. When I wonder what to wear, I call up my spreadsheet, search for my color choice/style, see the name and go to the ‘labeled’ boxes and badda boom, badda bang I’m good to go….earrings I have in a Colleen’s jewelry boxes with a clear top that allows me to see the choices to go with the necklaces. Works for me. Not into bracelets/watches/rings/pins so have no suggestions there. Good thing to remember is that the resale value of the items increases if you have original boxes, gold sleeve, etc, so keep that in mind.Holy cow – you should see the number of boxes I have in my garage!! I don’t throw any of them out. But I do have a number of necklaces and pins in the original boxes. I like the idea of the cards on them, though. I’m going to have to give that a try, because I’m always hunting through them. I also keep many of my Jay King necklaces in their boxes, too. And the card idea will work with them also. Thanks!! =d>

You are very welcome Chinnu! I think you will love them. They are the perfect size and weight. I have the golden ones too and they go perfect with almost all of her golden pearl necklaces/pins – they are just great mix and match earrings to have…I keep hoping she will bring them in other pearl colors as well…You will have to let us know how you like them after you get them! =8> Hello, SheRah – I just got back from a weeklong business trip to Budapest, Hungary and my earrings were waiting for me at home when I returned this weekend. You are right, the earrings are the perfect petite size and go so well with those dainty necklaces that I bought. I love the smaller size of the pearls and the more delicate look – thanks again for the great recommendation!

Hi Wendy. I am a frequent cruiser and I always carryon my jewelry even though it is costume. Once you get to your cabin it is fine to leave it in the cabin.
Enjoy the cruise!

WOW – can you believe these new pieces? Is anyone zeroing in on a very special St. Paddy’s day gift to themselves? Prices are a little steep for my blood, but love to live vicariously through my Heidi sisters.

Welcome perfumegirl!!!!! Tillie-
So glad to see you posting again! Your cruise sounded great and I am so happy that you had the best venue to wear your Heidi pieces!I know all the compliments were great to get and I bet many ladies went right to the HSN site to see who Heidi daus is! LOLI don’t even count my HD stuff anymore- I have 2 armoires full and that’s after having to part with some. I counted it a few years back and was stunned, like you.
Congrats ladies on your recent purchases and especially on the Fu dog set as s this particular one is my personal favorite.
***Note to all who post and read here**Please know you all in the wake of these latest storms all over the US are in our thoughts daily! Seems like every evening news hour brings more news of tornadoes, flooding, and general crazy weather. It’s so hot here in GA today and 100% humidity! We in store for major storms tonight, ourselves and they are the ones coming from AL which spawned deadly tornadoes today. Stay safe, all you HD galz! Georgia[-o<

Hi perfumegirl! Welcome to our happy little forum. We always like to see Heidi collectors here. Well everyone my cruise is nine days away. First time, can hardly wait! I’ll be busy this weekend putting my outfits together. So hard deceiding which Heidi pieces to take with me. For sure I’ll be taking the Dragonfly Artistry suite, neutral See-ing Stars suite, Calla Lilly suite and Crystal Blue Persuasion suite for dinner/formal nights. For causual days, I’m thinking the treefrog, sultry swirls, rocking turtle, and red enamel/pearl coral fan pin/earrings. What do ya’ll think?
I see new trunk pieces posting. What’s catching everyone’s eye?
Hi Wendy!! I went on a cruise last month and took plenty of Heidi’s and Jay King’s pieces with me. Between the two of them, I don’t think I’ve ever received so many compliments in such a short period of time!! I wore the new Love Knot suite one night, and loved them. They are so pretty!! Where are you going? I went to the Panama Canal. I hope you have a great time – I sure did on mine!! :d/ =d>
I just bought the daffodil pin, the Real McKoi pin (must be for Pisces ladies!!), and the serpent pin (I have the bangle from years ago). I love Heidi’s pins, even though I don’t get the opportunity to wear them very often. Does anyone know when her shows are? :-k
Going Western Carribbean: Cozamel, Rotan, Belize. My husband bought the package last year after Christmas for half the normal price. We got an awesome deal. My husband’s friend’s mom is a frequent cruiser and always looks for deals.
Oh I total forgot I will be taking the Exotic Orchid necklace and earrings with me as well. I’m gonna need a suitcase just to put my Heidi pieces in and carry it in with me. So scared someone will swipe my treasures if I leave it with the luggage folks. What did you do?
I ALWAYS take my jewelry in my carry-on, and you have to allow extra time to get through the checkpoint there at the airport. I’ve had them search my c/o before because the x-ray was showing a jumbled mess of wires. It seems that every time I go somewhere, on the way back the TSA checks my luggage and something goes missing. I put TSA locks on my bags, but they ALWAYS cut them. This time I not only had a lock cut, but I was missing my Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee!! I am so hacked off about that!! So NEVER put anything of value in your suitcase!!!!! ](*,) #-o [-(
