Does Victoria Wieck repair jewelry?
This has never happened to me before but I have a Victoria Wieck ring I bought less than a year ago. The ring is no longer in stock but it’s my most favorite piece and I wear it as my engagement ring. It is jeweled from all angles and has baguettes running all down the sides. I don’t wear it to work and I have definitely not abused it, but after cleaning it today as I was polishing it up I noticed to my horror that one of the baguettes has completely shattered! I have no idea how this happened. The baguette goes in between my fingers so it’s really hard to bang it against anything and I do not wear any rings next to it. I was wondering if any of you ladies know if there is an address I can send it to to get it repaired, at my expense (I never buy the extra protection). I doubt my jeweler can do much about it since they would have to put a brand new special cut cz in with the exact measurements to fit in flush with the rest of the ring, you gals know how meticulous Victoria’s designs are. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’m not sure if she does. You could try contacting her on FB through her jewelry page, or you could call HSN and see if they can help. I know the jewelry repair plans add up, but I decided to start purchasing them on the pieces I wear a lot, just in case. I completely empathize with you–I’ve also had those heart-stopping moments when you look down and realize your ring is missing a stone. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply Ingallsra! I didn’t know she had a facebook page. I will try contacting her that way!

I have never known HSN to repair jewelry after 30 days are passed. Heidi Daus and some other jeweler include notes in their jewelry that they will replace stones etc for life. Don’t know how much the costs of shipping and handling are, but at least the intentions seem good.
I HAVE known other sites to repair quite cheap rings that simply lost color in the stones which were manufactured stones. They did it all for free and paid return postage etc, 5 years after I bought the ring. They have also replaced jewelry that turned from gold to silver.
Nearly all my phony gold jewelry from HSN has turned. I have worn one ring less than 15 hours and it WAS gold colored and now is a hideous mix of gold and silver—a sort of silver color.
By the way, my Mother received an engagement ring in 1946. It had an emerald cut and several small round cuts down the sides of the engagement band and the matching wedding band. She never took it off for 35 years when it had to be cut off due to swelling from arthritis. She wore the rings gardening, working in a medical lab full time, mothering 3 children, and cooking dinner every night from scratch.
I have worn the most famous jewelry designers who claim the rings they make for HSN are exactly the same way they make them for their clients who pay millions of dollars for their rings.
Gee, I cannot help but wonder just how happy would these famous clients be if stones fell out after wearing a ring 4 or 5 times, or even less?
By the way, baguettes are notoriously delicate and crack and break all the time unless set by a master setter. I was given an engagement ring with 2 baguettes on the sides of the main stone. I wore it a few hours the night it was given to me then brought it back to be sized the next day. The jeweler at the store that sold it to my fiance said one baguette was cracked and had to be replaced.
I would never buy an HSN ring with baguettes. If the do not hold up set by the finest jewelry stores in NYCity, how do you think the setters in China handle the absolute baguettes?

Wow I didn’t know that about baguettes. These are channel set flush to each other along the sides of the ring and they looked fairly protected. I have another ring with cz baguettes that I wear to work and that takes a beating and I haven’t had a problem with that one, and I’ve had it over two years. I did order a white gold cz ring from ebay one time and that came with the baguettes cracked right out of the box. I sent Victoria a friend request on facebook and even a message with my dilemma and she hasn’t responded to either the friend request or the message. Guess she doesn’t really check her facebook. I’ll send HSN an email and see if they can help, but I’m pretty sure what they’re gonna say. Oh, what was left of the baguette completely fell out now so I’m left with a gap in the side of the ring. At least it’s between my fingers so it’s not noticeable when I wear it. I’m hoping that didn’t leave the other two that were set next to it loose now!

Has anyone found a link to who can repair Victoria Wieck’s jewelry, particular rings that have lost stones?
Thx
Rhonda

I had one of her watches repaired by Options In Time. The rhinestones fell out.
This happened again and they sent me a small bag of replacement stones.
Now the watch has turned dark inside the case (it’s clear and stones float around). I sent email to them last week but they have not answered.
Hope this helps

I’ve messaged Victoria Wieck about stones falling out of a watch. She never responded. She has responded before, when I have requested a particular design. I don’t think that she warrants or repairs. My message was ignored.

I too have a stone that fell out of a costly ring of hers and i have just been told that my particular ring doesnt not come with a warranty and HSN will not repair it even though its has Absolute stones in it. Pretty Shady if you ask me. I’ll be ordering from the other shopping channel from now on since they always, no matter how long, will repair their simualted stone jewelery with no question.

I couldn’t agree with you more Susie.
-
Spare me.
What’s rude is a ‘designer’ who overcharges her customers for mediocre merchandise, and then impolitely rushes those customers who pay for that merchandise off the phone when all they want to do is talk to her and describe their satisfaction with her clothing.
-
KimTampo, I don’t even buy her clothes. I think this thread is rude and unnecessary.
-
Susie; I agree wholeheartedly that this thread is discourteous and mean spirited.
If you don’t think her behavior is correct then why are you behaving so poorly by being so brash, is it not the same? Pulling apart the way a person presents themselves is just wrong, would you want it done to you? I don’t think so, it is disrespectful.
Diane Gilman is just a passionate person, if she feels that strongly about her clothing and does talk over a customer, I’m sure it is unintentional on her part! If she does offend anyone simply turn the TV to a different channel and don’t buy her goods. If you think her goods are overpriced don’t buy them, simple as that.

Thank you Stella & Betsy. Stuff like this turns my stomach. Prime example of why we have a bullying epidemic in our schools. It starts at home, folks. Be an example for your kids and grand kids.
