I bought a new modem/route but can’t even reconfigure it… its named the same as the factory settings… can’t rename it or even set wpa personal nextbook tech is no help …and why does it time out when I try to enter a long security key???

I had the same problem with wifi. I had to call tech support for my router and they ran me through step by step changing the security settings. I would tell you what to change, but honestly there were a lot of steps to it, but it DID fix the problem.

Well, so much for free thirty days of tech support as a bonus!

Had the same wifi issues…this is how we resolved them. You have to go to your wireless configuration page from your home PC….change your wireless security settings to wpa personal….ours was set to wpa/wpa2/personal. After we saved the changes the tablets connected immediately….Hope this helps everyone with this issue out….we were ready to send both tablets we ordered back. Whatever you do don’t bother with the support for dummies number that comes with the tablet….they wanted to charge us 99.00 just to help us configure our modem….

I am sorry you are unable to connect to your secure home wifi. I had no problems signing on to mine with our password. Have you tried calling the free tech support that came with the purchase?

Thanks for the input, but the password is right. All my wick comp. and droid smart pbh. work. Seems the next 7 doesn’t like security networks. Works best on open net. Slow on wep and completely drops on wpa.

It sounds to me like you don’t have the right password entered for your secure network. You need to use the password that you set your wireless network up with.Otherwise I would call the company that makes your wireless router and see if they can help you.I hope that helps.
