Hi Adam..the mystery of one day at a time is enough for me!! I Treasure each moment;^)
-
I think just 10 years from now… That way I’d know if I’m on the right track :smileywink:
-
Well, since I intend to live to at least 100 or more, (and in good mind), and I just might make it what with all the good products I’m now using from here.
I am interested to see all the new technology that will be available at that time. To see how far we have come in the last 50 years, even in 10 years, we can’t even imagine what there will be in the future. I would like to be around to experience all of it.
Then I will tune in on HSN and buy some of it…like I’m doing now. :smileyhappy:
-
Well I guess 10 years from now would be the appropriate response. I’m not planning on being around for 50 years from now, maybe if I was younger I would be curious.
-
Well, ? wouldn’t it be fun to see 50 years ahead, but that can also be a bit scary in a sense. We already live in such a fast paced world as it is, with technology outdoing itself every year. To tell you the truth I’d rather just take it day by day and see what tomorrow brings. Life would be soo boring if we could see everything ahead of time and know what to expect. I like the element of surprise and dealing with the present, rather than the future. We already have enough problems just dealing with the day to day problems… :smileyhappy:
-
That’s a tough one–in either case, you would experience the loss of loved ones like my mother and sister, and of course including oneself. Any of us could go at any minute, which is why each day is to be treasured and loved ones cherished, I hope our species evolves to be more just, kind and verdant; wars and conflicts decrease; the gap between the “haves” and the “haves not” lessens, and; we value and protect our home by restoring our climate and protecting species, especially the grand sentient creatures like the great apes, elephants, and the predators (including man).
But in addition to loss, there is joy in new creativity in the arts and sciences–new media forms replacing content, but still cinema, theater, dance, music, architecture, and scientific/medical advances! But most of all there is the new life born, my nephews would be older, but they might have children, or even grand children! That would be a rush!
I guess I would choose 50 years, even though I’ll be gone (I probably won’t last ’till 110!). There will still be new people to love and I remain hopeful that our achievements and joys will exceed our dreadful mistakes and horrors! I have faith it will be so!
Just a little peak, please?
-
50 years! Because if I appear in that “peak” I will be sporting triple digits! :womanlol:
-
I have wondered what the future will be like but I don’t really want to know. I look to the past in the days before dishwashers, garbage disposals, microwaves and so much of technology that we didn’t have back then.
How on earth did I survive raising 4 kids without a cell phone, computer, GPS and no A/C? I’m sure 10 years from now I will be looking back on today and wonder how on earth did I get along without ?????
Those are all questions for tomorrow and I don’t think they are meant to be answered today. I’d much rather live the rest of my life being introduced to all the “new things” as they come to be and not knowing and waiting for that whatever to happen.
Life is a mystery – and I have lived this long living it that way. I plan to live the rest of my life the same way. Knowing the future would be like knowing what Santa is bringing – and that is just way wrong!
-
In this every changing world of smart phones, keyless entry systems, lap tops, etc, I’d like to take a sneak peak of where technology will be 50 years from now. Things can only get better !!!
-
50 years from now I’ll be in a grave so no, I don’t care to see how I’ll look then. 10 years? If I’m still around. Oh my . . .
-
Hi Adam – Given the choice of 10 years or 50 years, I choose 10 years. With the sneak peek, I could see where I could make a difference now. I would be able to see what stocks I should buy today and what decisions I should make to secure a better life for my children and grandchildren.
I could see how I could change the course for a better life for myself, my family, my friends, and my country. Kind of like Back to the Future; it would be exhilarating!
-
neither. both are just too scary. oh, sigh.. xoxo
-
Thanks, but no thanks! I’ll pass on a sneak peak! What if I don’t make it another 10 or 50 years? I WANT TO FOCUS ON TODAY. :smileyvery-happy:
-
I live in today, the now, the moment. The future is just that and should be kept that way. Knowing what lies ahead takes the fun and joy out of today. So no sneak peeks for me!:womanhappy:
-
