the worst thing about holiday shopping at the mall is taking the kids with me. they want so many things that if i bought every item they wanted, noone but the kids would have a christmas! 😉

I love getting a great deal yet everyone seems to always be in a rush and very pushy and stressed out during the holidays…especially at the mall! I love the holidays and shopping should for me is fun! This is why I tend to do the majority of my holiday shopping online and with HSN!! Everyone is happy and you always feel the holiday spirit. Plus, the deals are never ending too!!

Number one is finding a place to park, and number two is having to drag all the packages around with you, and number three is all the walking it takes to go back and forth between stores, especially to check out different prices in other stores and compare , and not being able to find the item that was advertised, and lastly, having to carry everything back out to the car!! Whew!!

3 things: the parking, rude people, and not finding what you need

I have 4 small children ages 2, 6, 9, and 11. The youngest 3 are girls and my oldest is the sweetest little boy ever, Michael, who is Austistic. I don’t have anyone to watch any of them and when I do, Michael and the baby always cry to go anyways. It’s impossible to sneak anything past them and then it always take 1000% longer since there are always “cool” things that they want to stop to look at. On top of that, everything always costs way more at the mall!
There are so many people too! With Michael’s Autism, he is just now wanting to really try to socialize with others. He never leaves me, but he tries to talk to other kids and adults all of the time now when we go out. Unfortunately, there are so many times that both kids and adults are just so rude to him when all he does is say hello and try to talk to them!
So wasting very hard earned money that is needed for my kids and mean, ignorant people are my top two reasons! I’ll stick with HSN for as much as I can and the easy pay will be a life saver for me this Christmas!
Thanks HSN and Merry Christmas!

The worse thing about shopping at the malll is finding parking spot I have to drive several minutes or how long it will take to find a parking space near the entrance of the mall.

The worst about shopping at the mall:
- The traffic
- The parking
- The lines
- The advertized items are out of stock
- The screaming kids with their screaming family
- The rude and pushy customers
- The rude sales clerks
And finally – the RETURNS! :womanfrustrated::womanfrustrated::womanfrustrated:

The worst thing about shopping at the mall during the holidays for me is the long long waits in line to pay and no one to help you if you need assistance with something. You can’t get to what you want to see because of all the crowdedness and you are always having to manuever your way around everyone. LOL I also dislike carrying the packages around. Yikes.

Hi Adam,
I really don’t know, because I do not shop at the mall.
-
I grew up in a city where the lamp posts had decorations and every one went downtown to see the store fronts windows that were dressed for the christmas season. Every one truly had good cheer and holiday spirit, you could see and feel it. Somehow it got lost. That is what made going to the mall to shop and dealing with all the insanity that came with the season, sharing the spirit with others. So with the spirit gone it is not fun anymore dealing with large crowds in a rush, in a bad mood, long lines, merchandise out of stock and the worst of all Parking! I do all my shopping online….:womanlol::womanvery-happy:

Once upon a time…it was fun..but now not so much.I shop anywhere But the mall..online or stand alone stores.I keep my sanity and my smile! ;^) ddshoppy

Picture this: You spent hours mall shopping, waiting in long lines and fighting crowds of people. You’re weighed down with multiple packages as you walk to your car. Only to find that you have LOCKED YOUR KEYS IN YOUR VEHICLE. Ugh!

Everything! Finding a space to park. The feeling of swimming upstream to get to the stores that have items on your list only to find that they are sold out so you have to swim downstream which only feels like swimming back upstream (but this time the crowds are worse and you are loaded down with items you found that were not on your list). You get sidetracked because you smell fresh cinnamon rolls. You have burned so many calories swimming through the crowds that you simply cannot go any further than the end of the line to wait for a cinnamon roll. By the time you get to the front of the line you are told that they just sold the last cinnamon roll but the next batch will be ready in 15 minutes. But hey, there are packages of room temperature rolls leftover from the day before that you can purchase, which you do because you have invested so much time waiting for a roll! You rearrange your bags trying to balance the weight on each side of your body hoping that you won’t drop everything as you try to nibble on your room temperature treat. With sticky hands and a napkin stuck to your shirt you walk into a department store and as soon as you reach for the item your dear family member so badly wanted, someone dashes in and grabs it before your hand makes contact with it. Of course it was the last one in stock! By now, feet are hurting, you look at your watch and realize you were supposed to be on your way to an event clear across town. So you find the nearest exit only to realize you cannot remember where you parked!

Shopping with children. Both kids are behaving wonderfully or so you believe. One disappears and is found by a sales lady when the dresses crash to the floor and it’s one of my children that’s twisted in the clothes. A loud siren goes off and it’s my kid that opened the emergency door. Their hand are being held by me and when I look down only one of the kids are mine. So the worst thing about malls has to be taking children shopping with me.

Worst thing about holiday shopping at the mall is theft! I usually stay away from the mall during the holiday season. Theft is high during the holiday season especially at the higher end malls.
If you walk to your car to unload your packages, move your car. Potential thieves will think you are leaving. Also, leave packages out of view.
My 2 cents worth 🙂
