Hi Adam. I can’t really think of any advice my Mom gave me.
But I do remember some great advice my Dad gave me – “Live below your means, then you will always have money in your pocket.”
His advice worked for me when I got laid off from my job. We got by because we were not in debt, and did not have high expenses.

Get an education! Always be able to support yourself.

HAHAHA. So many things.
1. Wear clean underwear, never know when you might be in an accident.
2. Keep your legs together…and that might have meant several things, like just being ladylike!! ROFL.
That’s the ones I remember right off the bat.
This question is going to be a blast…can’t wait to read everyone elses LOL

My mom always said to always include those who lost a spouse to any function whether it be a movie, eating out or having a get together at home. She also said that if you do not have anything nice to say about a person, it is best to be quiet. And last but not least do not go to bed angry. To say you’re sorry makes the world a better place.

If you don’t quit crossing your eyes they will get stuck that way.
Don’t let boys with dirty hands touch you. (Not sure what she meant by that.)
Learn how to type.
Don’t make me come over there!
Don’t go outside with wet hair.
Wait, you said good advice, didn’t you?
Oh well, at least I listened to the things she told me!

Learn to take care of yourself and don’t rely on others to do it for you!:womanlol::heart:

Be yourself and the best that you can be. Love her. Miss her.

To pay attention to “life” because it goes very fast. Hang on to your “great memories” some day they will mean so much. Miss you mom…..Thanks for the memories!

Live your life by the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
And never follow the crowd for they could be headed in the wrong direction. (Her actual words were: If somebody was jumping off a bridge, would you jump off, too?)

I lost my mom when I was only 4. I have no memory of her giving me any advise. This question is another reminder of what I missed out on. Teasure your moms people.

Pay your bills first. Then see what’s left over. So u always have a roof over your head.

Remember the one about not going in the water for 1 hour after after lunch?

Whenever I told my mom, “I can’t!!”, she would always reply,
“Can’t never could do anything, because he wouldn’t try.”
Even to this day, when I find myself hesitating to try a new project, a new job, a new skill, I remember the words of my mom.
It can be scary to try something new, but if we don’t try, we can never know if it might have been something that would bring us great joy or result in great accomplishments.
Try Try Try! Take baby steps! You Can Do It!!! 🙂
