We asked: Who’s the most disorganized person in your family and why?
You answered: My partner of 20 some years is the worst. No matter what he uses, it never gets put back. Need the scissors. Done? Left right there on the counter not put back in the drawer. Snacks? Eats all night long after supper and all the dishes remain by his chair. He will leave a glass of water by his medications which he keeps in my kitchen no less and that glass will remain there all week. Going to bed? Clothes thrown on the floor although a hamper is 2 feet away. Open a kitchen cabinet? It remains open. His workshop? At least 7 of each tool because he forgets where they are and buys more. Does he know his children’s birthdays? Maybe. Does he send a card? Not. One time I opened all the kitchen cabinet doors in hopes he’d realize how annoying this can be. He was not bothered at all.. Said it was easiier and we should take the doors off. Real nice. But do I cater to this disorganized person? No way! I leave the scissors out, the doors open, the clothes on the floor and pray he hasen’t bought another shop tool. After awhile he started to say I was a sloppy housekeeper and that is when I hired one. So now he pays her to put the scissors away, and so on and so on. Bless her and bless him too.

You answered: Okay how can I word this…The pilate machine we got from HSN. Daughter and I were trying it out on Xmas day and it has the hookup for your feet. Well when you extend your feet in the air you are really extended if you know what I mean. Well I tried it and lets say my daughter and husband heard a large noise !!! I am very lady-like and was extremely embarassed.. Oh well, it happened to my daughter to!!! I swear there is something about the PILATE WORKOUT.. Glad it was at our HOME……

You answered: My list is endless we cut up my mom’s to make barbie clothes, used them to build indoor forts, a toga in 1981 and curtains also in the 80’s. If I had kids that cut up my CC sheets I would be very sad

You answered: The garage. Ten years and I have never pulled a vehicle into it. At this point I can barely squeeze a laundry basket through from the door to the washer and dryer. I’d love to throw almost all of it out, but it’s not mine.

We asked: What’s your family’s favorite holiday decoration?
You answered: My favorite Christmas decoration is a 2 foot tall cardboard Santa. He must have been bought in 1948 and I remember sitting in front of the fireplace and gazing at him for hours. Over the years he was always displayed during the holidays and I have him to this day. Some years ago my mother was going to toss him out. He was old and tattered and a little dirty from all those years of dust but I pleaded NO! Mom said “oh I only paid 10 cents for him, let’s toss it.” No I demanded. One Sunday afternoon Mom and I lovingly taped and reinforced and cared for this fragile Santa….And now I can say he proudly stands in a place of honor under my tree. Years has passed and Mom is no longer with me but that Sunday afternoon with her spent repairing this Santa has made him all the more valuable to me.
