We asked: What’s the most outlandish meal you’ve ever invented?
You answered: The most outlandish meal I invented was meatloaf surprise with a grand finale, birthday cakequake. I had just moved into my own apartment with hopes of making a special birthday dinner for my mom. I decided to make meatloaf. I searched recipes books for a special recipe. I added hard boiled eggs inside the meatloaf with chunks pickles and cheese through out. I topped it off with ketchup on one side and mustard on the other side. I pulled my two toned meatloaf out of the oven. The room got very quiet, especially when I tried to slice it. It looked like a meatloaf with chicken pox. Right at that moment, the birthday cake I baked started to move. It split open and fell off the pedestal. I mixed up the oil and water causing a super oily cake and a cakequake. 33 years later and I still hear about my meatloaf with chicken pox and the cakequake.

We asked: What sort of invention would you back if you had $1 million to invest?
You answered: Because our population is getting older–I mean more mature, I would invest in a belt for seniors. This would act like an airbag and inflate if it detects a fall. It might also have a sensor that dials 911. It could be a one-time-only device or have the ability to be “recharged”. That would be a “GREAT” device!!

We asked:What’s your funniest Road Trip moment?
You answered: My funniest road trip was August 3, 1979. Our wedding day, we drove to Ocean Shores, WA in our VW bug, thought we could drive on the hard, compact sand. Big mistake. The car sank in the ocean, it took a huge tow truck with a huge winch to pull it out of the water. It was 2am, we were hungry and of course tired. A Police Officer gave us his lunch, the tow truck driver wanted cash for pulling the car out of the water. We had no cash, so we gave up our wedding rings for payment. We made small monthly payments until it was paid, and got our wedding rings back in the mail. It wasn’t funny then, but it sure is now!

We asked: What’s the craftiest thing you’ve ever come up with?
You answered: When I was little, my brother got an assignment from his junior high Science teacher:
take home a frog they’d been dissecting in class, and sew it up. She gave no details
on how to do this. Mom wasn’t home when my brother came home, so he said to me,
“Hey, let’s figure out how to use the sewing machine and sew this frog up!” And we did!
It wasn’t easy! LOL Talk about a nutty “arts & crafts” project!

Needless to say, Mom threw a fit when she found out what we’d done! And as for
my brother’s grade on his project–he passed, but the teacher held up his frog in
front of the class and said, “I’m going to use this as an example of how NOT to do this
project in the future!” But honestly, if you want students to learn how to do the project
correctly (sew it by hand and stuff the frog with cotton), you’ve got to explain it to them, TEACHER!!!

You answered: Adam this is the best if the best questions so far. I am enjoying most of the replys so far. Well for me it was time to buy me a Bra. I believe I was 11 or 12yrs old. She took me to a store inDel. called Gaylords Instead of taking me to a dressing room she just put bras one by one over my clothing until she said this one fits LOL!! I never did that to my daughter. I can see this clear in my mind.

We asked: What’s the strangest thing you’ve “discovered” hidden at the back of your fridge?
You answered: Once I found a dead hamster wrapped up in foil that looked like a hoagie sandwich. My teenaged daughter’s. Hamster died during the night and she put him in the fridge so she could buy him in the morning and forgot.

Another time, my husband filled the vegetable bin with dirt and stored his fishing worms.

We asked: What’s the craziest problem you’ve ever solved with an HSN product?
You answered: This is not crazy, but very practical! I use my Spin Mop to wash my van with less than 10 gallons of water. I use the blue head to wash the van and the while(dry) to dry and buff! Takes less than 20 minutes! The neighbors shake their heads!
Saves time and money and water! Just fill up the bucket and wash down and I use 6-8 gallon jugs to rinse it down! I do have to use a step stool to reach the top of the van and pour the water on top of it!
