We asked: A Genie has granted you one chore you’ll never have to do again…. What would it be?

You answered: Adam, one word “Ironing” ! My mom taught me early on how to do it and my first clothing was a men’s shirt. Well, after two hours i gave up. I learned to fold very well. I rather clean as many bathrooms as i can. You think, i have iron backflash nightmares? Shirts, CLEANERS!!!!

You answered: Getting up too late in the morning and having to rush for work totally knocks me off for the day.  I don’t have time for my morning coffee and to log on to my computer to view the Today’s Special on HSN.  I get withdrawals symptoms from missing both, that’s why I use two alarms.

We asked: What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever found in your house after a party?
You answered: Oh my goodness! I had to be reminded! As I cleaned up the next morning I Was so lucky to find One-again I say one- very lacy black thigh high stocking (that did not belong to me).
The reason I was so shocked was that it was a very casual get together and where did I find it? On our newly felted pool table! Seriously! If you want to leave a gift for the hostess (namely me) the least you can do is leave a pair!
It truly was a very pretty stocking but one just isn’t gonna do me a bit of good!

We asked: What’s your favorite summer time recipe and why?
You answered: hi adam, here is a great basic recipe that can be changed to suit each taste. my sister called it “cowboy cavier.” the basics are: canned black-eyed peas, canned black beans, (both rinsed) corn, ( i use left over roasted corn cut off the cob) cilantro, fresh lime juice, green onions, salt.
when i make this i add a little canola oil for body and i add green salsa. this can all be mixed to taste but the flavors have to marry for a while in the refrigerator. you can add fresh pressed garlic, hot sauce, more lime, less lime, chile, no cilantro, more cilantro, fresh chopped tomatoes. just use your imagination and add what you love Heart. it’s just yummy and high in protein. it gets better overnight. it is eaten with tortilla chips or just as a side, especially with bbq. or tacos, etc. enjoy!

You answered: I know this may sound weird but the age I am right this minute. I would not wanted to miss any part of the life I have lived . Some memories are good (very good Heart) , some bad Smiley Sad, and some terrible . I have lost many family members and dear friends .
Life the good , the bad, and even the terrible makes us appreciate everyday . … Tomorrow is not promised , live today and enjoy today . Every minute everyday is the one you have been given , live it!

We asked: What’s your plan for the summer?
You answered: Preface: I always have a plan A, plan B, etc.,because the best laid plans always seem to go awry, especially when you have to attend to the banal stuff associated wth being a responsible adult.

It would be interesting to revisit this topic in, say August, and ask, “How’s your summer plan going?”

Also, I am going to assume the phrase “add your story and tune” was not a typo, and give you a tune to go with my Plan A. If other posters add their tune to their plan, I think it it would give a fuller picture of each plan–the soundtrack of our lives adds so much to our mental picture of each plan.

SweetheartPines: Plan A for the Summer of 2016
1. Spend as much time outside as possible, especially in the woods, on the beach, in the water, and in my garden.
2. See as much live music and art at concerts and festivals. I already have tickets to take my 80 year old mother to see Sting and Peter Gabriel at a great summer festival!
3. Maybe, just maybe, fall in love or like over the summer.

We asked: What’s the tallest tale your dad ever told?

You answered:The tale my Dad told me is one I mentioned a week or so back on another thread. I was always the smallest shortest girl in my class. I went crying to my Dad. He said “Turn around, let me take a look at you”. I did as he said, but, didn’t know why he asked me that. After I turned all the way around, he said”You’re tall enough”. I asked “how do you know that?” He said “because your legs reach all the way up to my butt”. Thus, confirming to my young mind…I, indeed, was tall enough. I never complained after that. Being petite turned out to be a great advantage. I was successful in competitive sports for 13 years as a gymnast. Just as my Dad said I was tall enough!
