SHAME ON YOU HSN

No matter how you look at it or word it, it wasn’t fair
to the customers to have to wonder why these people
suddenly disappeared.
In business, the customers are supposed to be first, always.
A notice or one little word wouldn’t have cost them a dime.

How do you know HSN didn’t have a big PRIVATE send off for her? Even when they celebrate a host being here a long time, it’s still all about selling stuff. The name of the game here is MAKE MONEY. They’re not gonna make money giving teary goodbyes and eating cake. And look at all the comments about Chris eating on TV too much. Maybe she left because she WANTED to and could not be happier. I hope so.

I really liked Chris. She seemed down to earth and not fakey exuberant like some of the other hosts. I sure bought plenty of items that she presented over the years! I wish her all of the best in her future endeavors.

I can’t believe Chris is gone. Chris & Alan were married at one time. That was a long time ago. I believe when she first started working there. I use to watch Alicia late at night and I realized she wasn’t around and someone else is hosting in her spot, but I didn’t think she was gone. She was cute and I think did a good job. At least she didn’t act phoney.

I wish them the best for the future!

I will miss Chris, Alan, John and Alicia too. They were great and I agree – shame on HSN for not giving them a proper send off. [-x
I thought I had heard before that HSN had fired Chris in the past, then so many members asked for her, they brought her back.
Did I also hear that Chris and Alan were briefly married to each other?
Think Alan and Chris were able to retire from HSN after so many years?
I am upset about Alicia too as she is a Latina and representing. Shame on HSN as well since they no longer have any Latina/o hosts -(Colleen Lopez is married to a Latino, and not Latino herself and doesn’t specifically count in this category).

Is it possible that she didn’t want an on-air send-off?

I never knew John Cremens or
Alan Skantz were leaving either.

At least Dan Dennis had a chance to tell people.

I could never work for a company that thinks so little
of it’s employees that it fails to recognize when they

It is my understanding that she went to be with her husband and her family full time.I’m sure it will be an adjustment. I left PA and moved to the Carolinas 13 years ago and could never go back TOO COLD loll

Good Luck if she moved to CO from FL, it will be a total shock. Colorado is not all its cracked up to be. I’ve been here 16 years and it is dry, dry, dry, and coooooooold 8 months of the year. You do Halloween and Easter in the snow depending on where you live. If you live in eastern CO, you have tornadoes to deal with. Not my idea of a good time, but kind of stuck here due to the economy.

Maybe bring departing hosts balloons, cake, etc., and wish them well during their last shows? SOMEthing … but to not mention that a host is leaving doesn’t feel right, especially one who worked there for 21 years!

HSN’s PR Department answered our question about whether hosts Chris Scanlon and Alicia Perez are gone from the home shopping network.

“Following up on your question regarding Chris Scanlon and Alicia Perez, the answer is yes,” the HSN spokesman said in an email. “After being a valued and contributing employee for more than 21 years, Chris Scanlon is no longer with HSN. Alicia Perez is no longer with the company as well. We thank Chris and Alicia for their many contributions to HSN and wish them well in their future endeavors.”

Not much of a send-off for Scanlon, after more than two decades with HSN.

Chris Scanlon who was with HSN for over 21 years has left and you don’t even allow her a goodby sendoff. We learn about it from the blogs. She a;ways did a great job.What a difference between you and QVC.I’m sure Chris made your compamy a lot of money over the years. She deserved better

Thank you scarlett! I cannot understand how Chris could just ‘disappear’ and not have us all wondering what happened. They should have had a nice sendoff, unless she didn’t want any fuss and she might have been too emotional about it. But still, HSN should have had the other hosts make mention of it and to wish her well. I will miss her. I got such a kick out of her, especially when she was with Wolfgang.
