On air and show suggestions

Please, please, please NO more Gypsy airings! I wait for months and weeks for scrapbooking shows to see new stuff. I personally do not want the Gypsy and cannot afford another couple hundred $$ machine right now. Please show more kits of other items… like embossing folders, card kits, or lower $ items. HSN has SOO much on the website that never makes it to air. Please don’t run off all of us scrapbooking viewers like QVC did with high prices and the same old stuff everytime. Thanks!

When a host is showing JEWELRY, please have them show the UNDERSIDE of the piece: ring, bracelet, pendant, AND the bail. Please remark on the size of the bail by a measurement, if possible. ALSO, please show the clasp and threader end on pendant chains. Evaluating the underside often sells me on a piece of jewelry. I notice in most all your videos there is no visual of the underside. Bill Green does a good job showing jewelry and often measures with a ruler. But not everyone actually takes the time to rule out a bracelet; they rely on their blue card notes. Colleen is very good at noting when a bracelet has HEFT, it’s true measurement will be altered on your wrist. These practical things are very helpful to a viewer about to make a purchase.

HSN’s website product information is very good. Also, I read the reviews on every item I purchase. Thank you for the reviews.

I do appreciate when fashion items are shown on larger models. Many many buyers are not size 2. It’s helpful to see items shown on women of all sizes. I miss Kelly Repasse because she was a show host who was a XL or 1X and would wear one of the pieces in the collection when presenting.

I agree that Joy Mangano’s voice is better suited to cheer at a hockey game. Tone her down or have someone present for her. We get it! She’s excited…

I appreciate HSN’s return policy and overall am very happy with shopping from a long distance with HSN. Best wishes for a great year end.

Please have models that have real problems when doing skin care and makeup presentations. There’s nothing worse than seeing a 22/23 year old model who doesn’t need any help and that’s who they apply the products to.

Please STOP deleting our comments when NOTHING terrible is being said, other than we just voice our opinion! This has happened over the last couple of days to me and a fellow blogger who have had their posts deleted over the issue with Adam Freeman and his wife asking donations for their trip to Bora Bora!! do you realize how many NASTY comments I’ve read about people hating Shannon? NONE of them got deleted. But all my posts about that issue and someone else’s did and I feel it is not fair at all. If Adam and Chelsea didn’t want opinions from that, they should have never posted it on a certain website about their marriage. why is it that other people who posted comments didn’t get theirs taken off? This leaves a bad taste in my mouth about HSN! We have a right to comment! Please leave the posts on, or go and erase all the bad things that were said about Shannon! Only fair!![-x

the new backgroud music is bad. Sounds like throw back music from Bewitched. Need better tune.

I would appreciate it if when crystals in jewelry are mentioned, that they state whether or not they are real crystals, glass, or plastic. Also, I agree that they need to measure things more, and let the camera “catch up” with the actual measure before the host pulls the ruler away from the shot.

Years ago, HSN had some great clothing lines; i.e. Marc of New York leather jackets! I would love to see a line like that return, or something similar. I am tired of the celebrities’ clothing lines. Bring us some brand name clothing lines.

Also, pay attention to the shipping department. Some items are being sent out in the wrong type of packaging; i.e. plastic bags when they should be in a box to prevent damage, boxes with no filler material, and defective merchandise that has been returned.

I have to agree with the comments about the Joy Mangano presentations with Chef Todd. You usually pair strong hosts with Chef Todd (Chris, Shannon, etc.) who can handle the presentations so the two of them are quite capable of handling the program alone. Sorry to say that I can’t watch more than a couple minutes of any of Chef Todd’s programs because Joy completely takes over. I have read many similar comments on these boards. True, lots of items are sold from his lines each time he is on but you will probably get a lot more sales if viewers don’t have to change the channel or mute the sound to avoid Joy.

Yes Joy does get on my nerves. I love her hangers but why does HSN let her spend one hour on just hangers………boring!!!! How much can you say about hangers. I do like the green pan but she never lets Todd English talk and she reaches over him constantly. It is so obvious she has a major crush on Todd! Please Joy let him talk too!!!![-o<

no running water in cooking shows/wipeing pans makes me GAG/[-x [-o< :-& / yelling / speed talking irrates me/ uncontrolled laughing ; im watching the TEnglish show today Sunday with the host im in another room and it sounds like a circus my opinion only

1. To much Joy Mangano. Have her on only once every 3-4 months (that’s even to much). Have Todd English on without her. She is the reason I don’t watch the green pan shows.
2.The show hosts need to be alittle more honest, especially on beauty. I don’t care which beauty vendor is on most of the host use it, love it, & wouldn’t be without it so hurry & grab it while it’s here. I hear one of the host say that about 3eye creams from different vendors.
3.When a product has a 2 to 3 star rating on hsn dot com. please don’t have the vendors sell it like everyone loves it. EXAMPLE: Firma A Face out of 1,672 reviews it has 2.3 star rating. When SSC is on Jennifer & whatever host is with her raves about how many were sold who cares how many are sold be honest also about the reviews.
4. Jennifer from SSC needs to stop saying how her vendor is top selling in the beauty line. They might sell alot but it you look at the reviews there not good.

Thank you for listening to me these are things that have really bothered me for awhile.

1.) Please have someone else present Joys products. I cannot buy anything from her because I will not be yelled at by a vendor..if her products are so remarkable then let them speak for themselves in performance.
2.) Let the chef Todd English present the pans..he is a chef..an excellent one. Let him speak.
3.)I know Adrienne talks alot but she knows what she is saying. She is not a newcomer. This is a woman of substance..Let her do the talking. Stop talking over her.
4.)When you show a tunic and say it is long to cover the tush..how about the diameter of the bottom of the tunic..how much will it cover when being around the hips..do not just say this is for a 38 inch bust..tell me what the hip coverage would be..use a measuring tape and double it..it is not that difficult.
5.)Do not show the TSV at the beginning of every show. You take up 20 minutes of my time. I tune in for a certain show and am supposed to wait while you show the electronic TSV..??? Take a leaf from the book of QVC…they show the TSV when it is connected to the program..
6.)If the food show is honest then the hosts would stop saying that every bite in their mouths is the best they have ever had..give us a break..no one likes everything..except Susanne, Shannon, Bobbi, and Chris..they fawn over the product and insist this is the best cake or meat they ever had..then 2 weeks later..a different host and differenet gourmet product and the same old lines about oh this is the best one..does that mean the others were garbage..?? TRUTH IN ADVERTISING PLEASE.
7.) Do not send me other peoples returns and try to tell me they are pristine and when I call to inform you of such..do not charge me shipping and handling because you sent out anothers persons return..

There was a time when I left HSN on all day because it was so informative. Albeit that was 20 years ago. The hosts were pleasant and knew their products, it didn’t make any difference if it was a ring or a blender. They also showed the jewelry pieces on a person right away, I can’t stand when a male is selling womens jewelry and I can’t tell how big it is, a ring stand doesn’t do it. Now I can’t remember a day that I even turn HSN on, if it happens to come on the TV I bet I don’t leave it on for more than a couple minutes. It’s like having Billy Mays on 24/7. I do all my shopping on the internet.

Please, please, please have the host describe the color of a fashion item. TV monitors are not accurate and it could spare some returns if one is told what the true color is. For instance, is it a blue-red. orange-red, watermelon-red, etc. Is it a navy, cobalt or wedgewood blue; is the yellow a soft banana shade or a bright lemon — the monitor in my home may read something entirely different than what the true shade is. Also, please measure on air the height of a heel with a ruler. The written descriptions are often wrong and shoes are expensive to return. Thanks so much for listening…

The hosts should breakdown the carat weight of the stones. If there is a center stone surrounded by other stones, the hosts should tell us what the carat weight of the center stone is and then the carat weight of the surrounding stones.

Absolutely!! And also, specifically when airing diamonds PLEASE give us the color and clarity. I absolutely will not buy a diamond without knowing at least those 2 C’s.

Handbags – When showing handbags, show them with a variety of clothing styles including heavy overcoats. Some handbags may have too short of a handle drop to wear on your shoulder if you’re wearing an overcoat.

Shoes – Please show the shoes in motion.

I absolutly HATE it when they do not show the inside of the handbags. They will just open it up and let you peak on the inside. That shows me NOTHING. I want to actually see the inside to see how many pockets—If there is a divider in it etc. To many times have I NOT bought a bag because they did not show the inside correctly. If I dont like what I see when I see it I will instantly NOT buy it.

Also shannon annoys the heck out of me. Her laugh is over the top. She laughs at EVERYTHING. Things that are not funny what so ever. Her sales tactics are terrible. So.. she owns 5 or 6 of everything that she sells. She has to live in a warehouse.

Listening to Joy Mangano is like nails on a chalk board. She NEVER shuts up. NEVER! All we ever see on the station now is her crap products. 99 percent of them are junk. She should have stayed with just the hangers.

Also I am getting a little bit sick of the Todays specials being the same almost every month. How many Green Pan todays special do we need? Same with huggable hangers. We would like more VARIETY of todays specials please.

HSN is begining to get very predictable. I only need so many hangers etc.
