Abeautiful 1930’s Santa Doll that belonged to my great grandmother. We always had him standing in front of the fireplace growing up. Now that we all live seperately we share him every year he lights up one of our homes for the holiday season. He is just too special that we have to share him.

For my daughters first christmas my husband repaired and refinished an old wooden sled with metal runners. Then painted it with a Santa carring a christmas tree down the center piece of wood, and added winter and Christmas theamed details to the other planks, Then across the top stearing piece of wood he personalsied it with my daughters name and the year (2002) for her first christmas. We place it every year in a cornor of the entry way. We always receive the most complements on it from visiting guest. Not only does the style of sled bring back fond childhood memories for people they love the personal nature of this gift from father to daughter.

Our family’s favorite X-Mas decoration is a mini X-Mas tree for our precious cat Siver. When she was a kitten, she adored to pull ALL the ornaments from our 9 foot X-Mas tree! We were determined to teach her that the X-Mas ornaments were not a toy… My Mom sewn and glued all the mini-decorations and ornaments. Siver is almost 20 years old and still enjoys her mini-tree as well as the 9 foot X-Mas tree. As a recommendation to pet owners, please use a mini tree to train your pets. Cats adore to jump into the branches and hang from them. Although these days the majority of the ornaments are shattered-proof it is still dangerous because the tree might fall on top of your pet!

Our son and daughter-in-law have our Christmas tree and decorations (from when son was little). Now we are older and I am disabled and hubby has to work, take care of yard and house, and help take care of me; plus we have a little dog and a ringneck dove who loves to fly onto everything (and poop!!!) so the only decoration we have now (which would make it my favorite) is a little plastic Christmas tree that plugs into computer and changes colors. My father passed away right before Christmas last year so it didn’t get plugge in. So going to plug it in this year!! I’m ready for it!!

my favorite decoration is a little wooden christmas tree my dad had in his room while he was in a nursing home. he was hospitalized once over christmas and i took the tree with him. he passed away in 2003 and i would’nt trade that little tree for a million dollars. merry christmas and adam we love you in virginia!!!

My famlies favorite Christmas decoration is the Charlie Brown tree with its bare branches and one red ball hanging, with the lil blue blanket wrapped around its base! It reminds us of the beloved Christmas Classic and a lil’ TLC goes a long way! :smileyhappy:
