Fall…my favorite of all seasons. I grew up on the west coast and fall was just fall, but later in life moved to the east coast and I was able to understand what fall really was. The cool brisk air, the color of the leaves. One of the most amazing sites until you have to clean it up. Bagged for 10 years and now live in the southwest and fall is just pulling out a blanket done!:womanvery-happy:

I bring out the fall decorations – a scarecrow for the foyer, hay bales and corn stalks for the front porch. I swap the throw pillows and throw in the family room with rich, Jewel tone colors. I call the chimney sweep to come out and prepare the fireplace for the season. Last, I bring out all my Flameless candles and luminaries and adjust the timers so they give our home a cozy glow. I love fall and I love decorating my home for the season.

I’m going to do a Fall cleaning….it should smell better. ha ha

The first thing I do is cry while I’m pulling all my Annuals out. I’ve spent all summer to have such beautiful flowers and my garden was fantastic this year – and then comes those cold nights that tells all my pretty things that time is up.
I have very large windows in my house and a lot of them that I have to have professionally cleaned because of the height of them. That has to be on the top of each season’s list because I don’t think any house looks clean with dirty windows.
Then I bring out a few Autumn changes to my decor and then back outside to create a fall festival in my front yard. Everything turns into Harvest time and Halloween. I try my best to make my pumpkins Halloween on one side and just Harvest on the other so I just turn them around to get a little more use out of them after Halloween is over.
When it’s time to take down the “Harvest” theme it’s time to cry again because I’m from Michigan and I know what’s coming next. I’m very lucky though, we purchased a mobile home in Florida and will be heading there in December until it’s “safe” to return around the first of May.
We’ll practically be neighbors Adam!

I’ll change my closet out first and put away the sleeveless outfits and shorts . Move the winter clothes forward front and center . For decorating I will pick up a couple of bales of hay, add a pumpkin or two and some corn stalks for the porch. I’ll set out Halloween decorations and fall decorations collected over the years throughout the house . I love for the house to smell like cinnamon and pumpkin spice . Change the duvets to a fall Decor. For my clothes I will Get out all my Heidi Halloween brooches and necklaces and fall pins to wear on my clothes . The grandkids love that .

I don’t “freshen up” my home for Fall. I do a Spring Cleaning only. I have custom made window coverings that don’t need to be moved. I clean them on the regular so. I have hardwood floors throughout my entire home, so I don’t have to worry about rugs. I do have a fatique mat in front of my sink, but won’t need to change that. I had my hardwood floors re-done two years ago, and I’m still good. However, with the state of affairs of my bedroom it wouldn’t be a bad idea. Actually, the only thing I need to do is pull out my comforters and blankets.
Spring is my favorite time of the year! I love the colors of Fall foliage though. So pretty.

Ahh…Fall….the crisp, cool air…filled with warm scents…Everything goes from green to orange and yellow…I change my decor….I use my JM fragrances and of course hot soup cooking on the stove, the smells of it all are just so inviting. Just *love* this time of the year. Have a great day everyone 🙂

Ah, Fall! My favorite season. Time to get some mums for the front steps and bring out the fall wreaths. And scent the house with my favorite “Cloved Orange” and “Mulling Spices” candles, made locally. For decorations, I use mini pumpkins. It’s also the time of year I get out my Johnson Brothers Friendly Village tableware, which I use and display through the fall and winter.

Hi Adam, well we have already started our fall/winter cleaning. All our floor rugs get dusted out and washed if needed. All winter clothes come out of storage and summer clothes start getting stored away. Cedar blocks are placed in our closets to keep them fresh.
Of course, start changing our bright summer colors to more muted fall colors in our kitchen, living areas, and bathroom. Start decorating with different colored pumpkins, gourds, apples, and branches to transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving. Around this time love to start using plug-in air fresheners and candles scented with pumpkin spice or nutmeg fragrances to give the warm ambiance of fall. :smileyhappy:

Hi Adam! I like to spruce things up for fall by decorating with homegrown pumpkins and gourds from our summer garden. Miniatures are my favorite!

Fall is my favorite time of year to decorate. I change my summer wreath on the front door to one with autumn colors of gold, yellow, and brown, and a bright yellow chrysanthemum is placed on the porch steps. Inside, I put a harvest patterned tablecloth on the dining table, and then place a glass, pumpkin shaped jar filled with orange and white candy corn in the center. I also put a leaf garland upon the fireplace mantle with brown and ivory colored flameless candles on either side.

I always do a fall cleanout, just like in the spring! Plus, I add a yummy fall scented candle into each room! :smileyhappy:

I will use Joy Mangano’s wax melts in the pumpkin vase and scent, just yummy and her Air Flo too. That should do it. I will also put some Fall decorations out and an Autumn wreath on our front door.
