Diane Gilman! Enough!

I am not a huge fan of Diane Gilman however I do not see the side of her discussed here. I have heard her ask the camera men to move in closer but not in a rude way. Maybe I do not watch long enough to see the rude side of her which I guess is a good thing.
I think her jeans for the most part look nice on everyone although some are too pricey for me and it seems like the ones I want are always the $100.00 ones.
I give her cudo’s for trying to remain young at heart and give us older women choices in the way we dress. I expecially like the fact that her jeans come in larger sizes and she shows them on the larger models.

Diane Gilman of HSN is equal to Susan Graver on QVC. Both are extremely rude, no manners, no consideration for the hosts and with a repetitive diatribe of how great their clothing is….blah, blah, blah. I have NEVER AND WILL NEVER purchase their fashions. Another equal to these two is Stephanie Greenfield…another rude vendor with the same mannerisms and have NEVER AND WILL NEVER buy any of her fashions. These rude vendors appear to me as being so DESPERATE to sell their cheap merchandise that they have to have such abrasive personalities. Good inventory and merchandise should sell itself without vendors shoving it down our throats with their rude bad behavior. I agree with all statements that have been voiced. I boycott all three.

HSN is loosing credibility with me. I thought about canceling all my business with them. And I buy a lot!
I am sick to my stomach when Diane Gilman is on. So rude to the hosts!!! If they say blue she says black. Cuts them off won’t let them speak. They suck up to her and she doesn’t even acknowledge them. She is is so full of herself. Please…=; I wish they would part ways with her. Tired of the hard sell…
Sounds like if you wear her stuff you will become the goddess of your own planet…spare me.
Here’s some advise be more humble polite and you will sell even more. Otherwise customers may move on to the next thing and you’ll be left holding the spandex.

I have noticed some of these venders really have a very very inflated sense of who they are, the fact is, if it werent for the shopping chanels they would be big nobodies like the rest of us. They owe the customer everything, that means shutting up and listening, not quickly dumping callers who try to squeeze in a truth laced remark or suggestion, or question.
One thing I really really HATE, is when a caller has a bonfide concern and they are urgently dumping the call to return to their syrupy sweet words about their own greatness. Drives me you know what!

The first items I purchased from Diane back in the medieval times were gorgeous silk pants and blouses..some of the blouses had animals on them..I got compliments every time I wore those outfits…But then all of a sudden she changed to the tight jean queen..I tried her jeans and I could not wear them..my kids could not wear them and it was the last straw when my slim granddaughter said Yuk when she saw the ones I purchased for her..Some one has to tell Diane she is making a fool out of herself..she has no class at all when she is on TV..She screams at the host and tells us how young and hip she is and she is not young or hip..according to Wikipedia she is 69 years old..PLease have her dress and design for women..we are the ones buying her products…the actual young hip girls are in the mall..

Actually when I see D. Gilman on I change the channel. I am not a fan of her overpriced jeans. I don’t find the fit flattering at all and listening to her “Rock Star” years is getting old. Diane needs to just concentrate on a good line of smart looking, well fitting jeans without all the bling that can’t be worn in most places anyway without looking ridiculous. Everyone doesn’t live in New York. And her talking over the hosts is nerve wracking.

And she does not take criticism or suggestions well. If anyone (a caller) manages to get in even the mildest complaint, she jumps all over that person, insisting that she makes the only jeans in the world which fit EVERY body type. Puleezeeee…. If she would just listen to some of the complaints and try to address them. I’m amazed at some of the clothes she “models.” Some are so very unflattering and I cringe every time she talks about wearing the same pair of pants for weeks without washing while traveling. I think there are things she could easily do to improve her line (starting with quailtiy control and fit for anyone who is not shapped like her.)

Anyone else want to chime in? Maybe if all complaints/suggestions were consolitated here, they would be noticed by someone. Not to be mean … just constructive …

Ladies; you are right! It is hard to watch and listen sitting on my couch ….I can not even imagine how it feels standing next to this horrible woman………[-x

Regarding Diane Gilman’s compulsive need to be the only one speaking, I have written posts expressing my frustration, and others have, too. It’s awful to watch, especially Shivan and Callie who get run over many times by DG during a presentation. Colleen seems to get a few more words in there, as does Bobbi, but it’s still an interrupt-fest. I have often wondered why HSN t/o/r/tures the host and us by having a host with Diane. Why not let her present by herself, which is what she does anyway, but at least we’d be spared watching her verbally beat up on the host. Just give her some racks to hang the clothes on and she’d be in heaven, ordering the poor camera guys to come in closer, no, get back now, we need a long shot, now a close shot, etc., etc. I hope the hosts and crew get double-pay for smiling through that overbearing behavior.
