Diane Gilman! Enough!

I had to turn the channel,too. Diane was rude to Suzanne first thing. IMO, Diane is worst than she used to be. No one will talk to her after her TS sells 100,000 units.

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but the problem is STILL THERE–HSN, PLEASE do something about Diane Gilman!!! I understand that she’s been with HSN forever and sells a ton of product, but it’s painful to watch a presentation with her NON STOP TALKING and INTERUPTING  the Host!! She is absolutely rude, just runs right over whomever has drawn the short straw and has to be on with her! I cannot STAND to listen to her, I’ve actually had to mute the tv when she’s on!

I AGREE WITH MANY OF THE PEOPLE  THAT DIANE GILLMAN OVERTAKES THE HOST. I LOVED HER JEANS AT ONE TIME AND HER PERSONALLY GOT TO ME AND IT IS HARD TO WATCH HER TAKE OVER THE HOST . I REALLY DON’T LIKE THE TOPS THEY ARE SO BIG. I LOVE THE JEANS AN JACKETS THE SHE MADE AWHILE BACK. DIANE SLOW DOWN AND GO BACK TO JEANS AND JACKET OR JEANS AND DUSTERS. Sure. I don’t buy her clothes, but don’t blame Diane or any other experienced vendor for Taking Charge. They know the ropes. It is Their products that they have worked on for years.  Same with Marc Gill and Joy. They really do not need hosts who many times are just blurting out empty words.

I think Joy talks so fast because she gets flustered trying to talk over the hosts. You can actually see the frustration on Marc Gill’s face, through his gritted teeth smile.  His background is Infomercials. Marc Gill works Alone!  – The hosts are In The Way.  I’ll bet that the host Lose far more sells than they make. The hosts should give a Short opening statement and a brief summation. They should be ready to step in and relieve the Vendor as the Vendor indicates. Adam, Tamara and Callie do this Perfectly.

With experienced vendors, the hosts should be there to Only represent HSN, to give quantities and price information. HSN, please tell the hosts that it is okay to be quiet.

What can a vendor or host do?  Damned if you do.  Damned if you don’t.  I really don’t believe that any of the vendors or hosts really care about our opinions of them.  And that is a healthy choice.  As someone once said, "It is none of my business what you think about me."  I agree with that.  If we lived our lives allowing ourselves to be scrutenized and criticised and took it all to heart, we’d be setting oursselves up for crazy.   Does Diane takes any of this talk about her to heart?  Probably not. She is an accomplished woman who had an idea and a plan.  She may be laughing all the way to the bank.   Good for her.

I totally agree about her talking over the hosts as if to say they don’t know what they are talking about. Another peron that does this is Wolf Gang Puck I really don’t like him and his I’m so wonderful atitude. I will never buy any of his products.

I love DG.   I have a bunch of her clothes.  

I agree that sometimes she speaks at the same time as the hosts. Other vendors do the same.

Hosts also speak at the same time as vendors.

I think she is an attractive lady.

I like her looks, as I think she looks nice. I really love her hair. It is original, natural -looking and not all matted down in a carbon copy style.

There are only a few thing in her clothing line that I would want to wear. I don’t know who is buying and wearing all of these jeans and leggings and jegging. How many jeans do people need? I’m not the typical jean wearer. Three or four pairs and I am done. Though I did purchase five pairs of Iman’s jeans.

I recently lectured my nieces : Legging go Under your clothes … Not instead of them.

I wouldn’t worry about fitting in with Europe. Their clothes wouldn’t fit in here. A revolutionary war was fought to separate from parts of Europe. – Right?

I just think she is on way to much..I know she brings in the money for HSN but still.

I watched for a while and the cloths she sells are ugly. In Europe, no one would wear most of the stuff HSN sells. 

I think this every time I see her!!  She tries so hard too to impress because she’s from NYC! but walk down Fifth Avenue — no one looks like this in the New York I live in!  I’m a native New Yawka — city, not country, and I don’t look like this and wouldn’t be caught dead in anything remotely resembling anything Diane Gillman. Seriously, she is so stuck in another decade it’s almost sad to watch but I love watching a "train wreck" (as long as no one is hurt).  Her voice is so monotone, her clothing dated and hideous.  I am not a kid — but I wouldn’t wear her garish clothing if my life depended on it. But, all the power to her and some of the others on HSN and the other networks — they know how to sucker us in.  Funny thing is, I actually keep the presentations on because I find them so entertaining – it’s a sampling of just about everything that is wrong with how someone dresses, speaks and hawks their wares. Part of me would love to meet her, maybe she could teach me how to make money!

Hi Ladies, We aren’t purchasing personalities, if you are making a purchase, you may do so on line and avoid personalities that bother you. Also, I do somewhat agree that DG2 needs a facelift in the fashion world, I have designed my own clothes for years because I have NEVER found the" PERFECT" jean, boots, handbag, jacket, etc…But in defense of all designers, they’re not selling their personality, you don’t have to like them or their style and your money spends absolutely everywhere. Look at other designs, fashion, etc… until your happy, but don’t put people down because they don’t sit well with you, NO ONE in  the world is liked but EVERYONE!!!! Be blessed and enjoy life!

I completely agree on DG personality but I do like her jeans. Now Susan Graver is the worst, most annoying one of all. And thinks she is so cute and adorable. She also thinks she’s the best modern and prances around the real models. She got worse after Lisa left.
She is out of control and cannot watch her.
