What grinds my gears

People that start a new conversation in a thread, instead of responding directly to the forum member they’re talking to.

These threads are hard enough to follow…they don’t need to be any harder.

And I thought females were unpredictable and catty…..

I just changed my mind.

I’m a big believer in the phrase: There are no dumb questions.

I might have changed my mind.

My question is this:  If someone is signing on multiple times and using multiple identities, whose telephone numbers is he/she using?  You can’t create an account here without an email address.  And you can’t open an email account without a telephone number.  One person only has a few telephone numbers, at best, to offer.  If the multiple identity thing is true, then someone must be using the numbers of trusted friends and family members or co-workers.

Carlos: I can’t find where you’d originally said it, but you said you served in the Marines.  I just wanted to know in what capacity you worked.  One of my cousins served in the Marines.  He was a gunnery sergeant.

Upon reading my apology, I see how it could be interpreted as an insult. That was not my intention at all.

Please accept my very sincere apology — I was making no reference to you when talking about the worm.  I was not clear enough in my original apology.  When I said "those associated with the worm"  I was not implying people associated with you.

The worm is a name a person gave themselves and this person and their associates  know what I am talking about.  It has absolutely nothing to do with you. And I am sorry if I gave anyone that impression. I am also not calling anyone a worm — I am using a name that someone gave themselves.  It has no derrogatory connotation.  It’s the name of someone who really needs to step forward and shed some light on the situation.  It’s not my place to do that.  I am simply trying to encourage someone to come forward and help us out.

Very upset right now that I wasn’t born a coal miners daughter.

Hello everyone.

Excuse me if I am confused yet for adults to need positions in a public forum is the most silly thing I have ever seen. Is this forum about a contest ? I have read several of the post here yet see one thing that is upsetting being the need for adoration. If you are in a contest I just might see the reason for needing people to like you. I do not understand how one can honestly claim to do charity work if one is here in a race . Furthermore to publicly accuse another of cheating shows me one thing and that is takes 2 to cheat if this is for public adorationor to just be seen. I am not studied yet in the smile or what have you yet I do not see a smile system to be anything but an insult to all who join the community.Some who truly contribute will never be rewarded who put so much more valid info into their post.

Chimein I again agree with you on this post as well as another. I think the loudest person fussing is the one who needs the adoration. I am really amazed at this being adults but again it could very well be teen drama in which it seems. To fight in public over a contest is really a call for attention. I also find it very sad that this seems one sided.

Thank you once more Chimein for making the most sense as you do seem genuine.
