Hi everyone! We’re working on some exciting new changes to make the Community experience even better! With that said, we wanted to share with you all what to expect as we introduce these changes on March 15, 2017 and answer any questions you may have.
What’s going to change?
1. Rankings – We’ve heard your feedback and understand that Community ranks can be confusing. Instead, we’re going to use roles for identifying user types like “moderator” or “expert” so you can distinguish between Community members, experts and moderators.
2. Q&As – Q&A’s just like these are coming back in March to help you better connect with the HSN experts and brands you love!
3. Mobile – The mobile experience is getting an overhaul to resemble the same look & feel that you’re familiar with on desktop to help you stay connected with your friends on-the-go! :smileyhappy:
4. Articles – We’re excited to also say that our articles will be moving to their own destination. Think of this as a mini HSN magazine that will include DIY projects, home inspiration, fashion tips and more!
5. Private Messaging – This will be going away temporarily as we make changes, but we plan to keep this feature once updated.
6. Favorites & Subscriptions – We’re making two of your favorite features more easily accessible and more prominent on the home screen. Favorite: You’ll be able to bookmark topics that you’d like to follow or that you’ve commented on. Subscribe: You’ll be able to stay in the know when it comes to your favorite boards and topics by subscribing to them to follow any new posts. You will be able to access your favorites and subscriptions with one click on the home screen – no more digging through different topic threads! :smileyhappy:
The look and feel of the Community will be refreshed, but almost identical to our current design! We’re so excited! But, we always want to hear your feedback on how we can make your experience here even better. Are there any specific features you all would like to see?

SMILE :womanvery-happy:. Look so forward to my replies from my HSN/ARCADE/COMMUNITY/FORUM/FRIENDS on how they respond to me….by the ‘SMILES’. And RANKING???? We should have that, because there are members who really worked hard and sincere to be where they are. All my MEMBER FRIENDS have helped me so much. They always make me feel good and they are VERY SMART and HONEST. I know changes are good, but; pray they are good for all. We are just asking for all us to be HAPPY and COMFORTABLE. In my opinion, I think of all as my second ‘FAMILY’.

I have been sick for 2 to 3 weeks,came back yesterday and was surprised by the changes.I hope it will have the positive affect that HSN wants.
I just wish we coud still smile on others posts.No smile board but just the ability to let a poster know their post made you feel better,helped you in some way..Often I am not able to post but want to let the poster know that what they wrote helped me …I hope this feature will return at some point.

The new update is really great news..Glad there will be no tickets and no ranks posted by the user name..Will be nice to see all the new changes coming.Thank you for all your efforts to make things better for all of us on the forums.

Hello everyone! I wanted to let you all know that I have passed along your feedback and we have decided that we will not be displaying any ticket amounts. NO ranks, NO displayed tickets amounts. :smileyhappy: These changes are scheduled to take affect on March 1, 2017.

I for one don’t want to see rankings. I guess the way to go is just to show the member name and leave it at that. Although, for the life of me I do not understand people being upset by how many tickets they have, but apparently people don’t want it shown. I am not interested in the leaderboard, and a lot of that is old and wrong anyway. I play for fun, I don’t care where I am on the leaderboard, I forget the leaderboard exists, you could do away with it.

I’m gald to finally see the ‘ranking system’ dumped. It was in a word, juvenile.
I was wondering when Hsn would smarten up and lose the Q and A. ‘Experts’ standing by to answer all of 5 questions posted by the same person in a different guise? It was pathetic.

Josephina I definitely agree with you. On page one, Briana wrote that the tickets would not be part of our profile in Community and now ten pages later this has all changed. My feeling is that the team is pitting person against person whether they think so or not. This is a place where people get together to discuss the products, make a person feel better when they are sad or ill, discuss new happenings on HSN, etc. etc.. It is not a place to say “Look at that, she has five million tickets,” or why doesn’t she play a game or two for relaxation. This is a place for discussion, to meet, make friends incognito, etc.. Most of us work all day, have a household to take care of, have children and grandchildren and use the Arcade for our relaxation and enjoyment before saying goodnight. It really is no one’s business how many tickets we have, at least not in Community. Seeing our name, be it a pen name, is enough and to be able to respond without everyone knowing our personal info is what makes the Community area. Briana, please return to the drawing board on this one area. Alot of your members could be hurt if you make the tickets public.

Briana, I do not think that the amount of tickets should be shown in Community. No matter what you say there will be many who will use it as a form of measurement and it will only lead to bad taste. Besides, there are many in Community who just like to drop in and ask questions about a product, talk about a specific Vendor, etc..It is not a place to measure one against the other and that is what you and your group are doing whether you realize it or not. At the beginning of these posts you said this would not happen and now, 10 pages later, you have changed your mind. We are people here who lead different lives, work like you do, have children and grandchildren who use the Community to boost morale when a member is ill or sad, and talk about things that matter to us. It is not a place to play games or to have your tickets follow you from the Arcade to another area on the HSN Web. Having your name and title is OK and that is as far as it should go. Let the Arcade info stay in the Arcade where it belongs. We can all see someone’s tickets there. It really is no one’s business but your own and leave it at that. I think the majority would rather see their name rather than extra information which is not pertinent to this vehicle.

Would you please make sure the game tags on the arcade forum are carried over? Several people took a lot of time writing game tips and instructions.

I really could not care any less about how many tickets folks have . I use to come to hsn.com to shop .
I know the arcaders enjoy the games and that is good . I like people to enjoy the things they like. Many of the very best and my favorite fellow posters are awesome in the arcade .
It is just not MY niche, but glad that others have it here . Some of the gamers really do not want their tickets displayed .
But really, show a little love for us that do not play here .
We sometimes feel like outsiders. jus sayin

For goodness sakes, you have 248 replies. When are you going to rip this band-aid off and change it? I’m ready to start complaining about the new stuff. Give it a go and let’s see what works and what doesn’t. You’ll know real quick. I’ll try to keep an open mind until I’ve tried it all.

HSN when you you eliminate the “smiles”, you will need to install a method so when posters are asked a question directed to you personally you can be notified of it.
I have counted on the “smiles” to date for that. Thank you.

I don’t anyone to know how many tickets I have. I don’t have any interest in the tickets that anyone else has.
I guess I’ll just use them up and then go away.
The rankings never were an issue.
