Order to Ship Delays: Getting Longer and Longer

Hi Everyone:

I’ve noticed a much longer delay in the last few months, from the date placing an order, and when that item actually ships. Most recently, I ordered an item last Monday, 9/19 and didn’t get the ship notification until Sunday, 9/25. Perhaps they should hire more warehouse staff?

If this is the new normal, everyone needs to be careful, ordering things, especially as we near the holidays, if you expect them to make it there in plenty of time.

Are others experiencing this too?

Three items ordered Sept 30. One being deivered today. All are Joy Mangano towel products. Other two orders are still “packaging”…SIX DAYS AFTER PLACING ORDER! Called Cust Serv. Robert…who I think works for HSN overseas somewhere…just kept saying that the warehouse hasn’t notified them that there is a problem . He said “If it says packaging then it is packaging.” I said then send a communication to the warehouse to inquire. He said “No. Nothing could be done. They don’t contact the warehouse. SERIOUSLY? I said telling me that there was no way to communicate with the warehouse was not at all acceptable and insisted that a supervisor be consulted or better yet put them on the line with me. He put me on hold and then said that a supervisor would communicate with warehouse to inquire if there was a problem.

There have beenmore and more and more issues lately with HSN and especially with my JOY MANGANO orders. And attention HSN….”Don’t tell me 3-7 business days if you do not plan on doing everything on your side including COMMUNICATING WITH THE WAREHOUSE..when an order is still packaging on the day it should have been delivered to your customer.” And attention HSN…what is the point of customer service is the stock answer is I can’t do anything to help or sevice you. If you are going to hire a bank of people in India to just answer a phone then I will take my business elsewhere.

I ordered something October 1 and it is still “packaging.” I wonder whether this happens when they send something via USPS. The post office doesn’t have the same kind of notification system as UPS. Could it have shipped already but just not shown up? I have noticed that sometimes it can only be tracked when it arrives in my area and is a day or two from delivery by the USPS.

hi,

i am noticing another problem that is causing delays. in my area redwood city (northern calif) ups has started making 1 delivery attempt and then sends the packages to a “ups access point”. the access point is about 2 miles from my home and there is very little parking. the access point is some jewelry repair store and it must be timy because i have driven by the area and couldn’t find it. so far i have been able to redirect the package to a ups near me but this can add up to a week or more for delivery. if the package is heavy, it will just have to go back to HSN because it won’t fit in my car.
