Is anyone else unable to check out using PayPal?

I cant check out period.  I cant email them because there is NO send button, ANd of course NO working customer service “real” person.   I am now reminded of why I switch to QVC years ago.

absoletly NO way to talk to a real person to get this fixed   🙁  

What you’ve described has happened to me.  I’ve used pay pal in the past with no incident on HSN.  When I un-hitched my direct purchase (giving Pay Pal) permission to purchase from HSN on the Pay Pal website it did what you describ with an error code.  I un-hitched my pay pal account from HSN.

I hope this makes sense.  HSN and Pay Pal have an agreement where Pay Pal can be your default payment method like if it were a credit card.  The only way you can undo this is to log into Pay Pal and have them remove HSN as a payment method for HSN.  HSN says they can not remove the Pay Pal info on your account and the only thing you can do is log into pay pal and disable it.

Meanwhile, I purchase all over the internet at some fine and not so fine establishments and no one has such an arrangement except HSN.  I use Pay Pal for the ease of use and safety. 

I know this is an old post but I am still going to reply. I tried desperately over the weekend to purchase four items I wanted from Anna Griffin scrapbooking. I wanted to use my paypal credit card, I had plenty of room for the purchase. The total came to 58.70. Now the items are NO longer on flex pay, making them out of my reach for now. It seems only rich people are able to purchase from HSN. I keep getting that same message oops a paypal card already exists on this account. I NEVER OPENED NOR TRIED TO OPEN ANOTHER ACCOUNT! I spent four hours of my time calling back and forth between paypal and HSN trying to resolve the issue. I had paypal delete the buyer agreement  between hsn and paypal from my paypal account. I cleared my browser and cookie history.  And NO ONE had ANY answers for me. I changed my device. Instead of using my Samsung galaxy note pro tablet I used my HP laptop. I tried having HSN order the items for me (which they don’t tell you this but it costs MORE money to do it this way  on my order it was 7.50 more) THAT didn’t work either. They keep telling me at HSN my credit card was declined but when i call paypal they say NOTHING shows up on my account. If I had any other place to go where I could buy the Anna Griffin items I want I would do it. They don’t sell the “new” Anna Griffin items on her web site (they don’t sell much of anything on her website just overstock items)   I am VERY frustrated and upset. I ordered my Anna Griffin items on October 5th and as of yesterday they were still in packaging and processing. I know there was a hurricane and I understand  that, but I ordered a cricuit  machine and want to be here for the delivery. It’s been  well over 7 days. I DO NOT want some else’s cast off s either.

Today I created an HSN account (in order to use a coupon code) and tried to pay for an item with PayPal.  I got the message:

This Credit Card number already exists for another Account"

I did use PayPal a few weeks ago to make a purchase, but as I recall did not create an account at that time.

I am! Over a year later. I cant understand what it means!

I think that HSN has Paypal set up so that only those who are creating new Paypal accounts can pay using Paypal. If you already have an existing Paypal account, you’re SOL.

I  did a Paypal order on Walgreens.com earlier & had absolutely no problems checking out with Paypal. I’ve used the feature on several other websites & had no problems. I think that IT (or whoever set up the Paypal payment option) did it wrong.

I have a buzarre problem paying PayPal at HSN. For some reason, PayPal declines paying it. PayPal says that it is my CC that it’s supposed to draw this payment from that is declining. CC pays for HSN no problem. Paypal pays for other things no problem. Paypal declines HSN purchases. Either HSN charges it somehow wrong, or I don’t what. I have so many times been blocked on HSN because there’s some flexpay that got declined because PayPal declines. By now, hopefully all payments are switched to CC and I just don’t have the energy or time to pursue this oddity.

I followed your instructions to add PayPal. I attempted to place an order, paying using PP & I got the same message I kept getting yesterday, which was oops, sorry you can’t pay using PP because you already have an active PP account.
