Christmas songs that REALLY annoy me……..
I have 3…
1) Elvis singing “I’ll have a blue Christmas”
When he sings this, I feel like I have to pull the words out of him and it puts me to sleep. BORING!
2) The Jackson 5 singing “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus”
When Michael sings “I did.. I really did see Mommy kissing Santa Clause and I’m gonna tell my Dad” I want to reach through the radio and strangle him. ANNOYING!
3) This is the WORST CHRISTMAS SONG EVER…”There will be no snow in Africa this Christmas”
Christmas songs are supposed to be cheerful and uplifting. This song is down right pathetic. Don’t get me wrong, it has a good beat but who wants to hear about children not getting a Christmas and sing about it , too. PAINFUL
Anyone else care to vent….

I hate it when someone takes a perfectly good Christmas song and puts their own take on it by turning it into a screeming screeching caterwalling version. If they want a new song they should write one, not ruin one. And I’m sorry, but I can’t handle anything by the Chipmunks for more than 10 seconds. I know they are cute, but I just can’t.
On your list, I like anything by Elvis, even Blue Christmas. Not my favorite, but I’ll listen to it. Little Jimmy Dickens sounds better on the “Kissing” song if you can find it. And the last one I have not heard, but maybe it was part of an awareness program? Funny what pushes our buttons when we are under stress, and make no mistake, we are under stress during Christmas. And I’ll be sexist here, especially women are under additional stress.
Have a merry.

This year the Christmas music that is being played in my neck of the woods is downright awful! For years I’ve enjoyed turning on the cable channel’s seasonal favorites music, but this year I had to turn it off the choices are so bad. Very little traditional music and mostly new, tasteless, screeching and nonsense. Others I’ve talked with share my opinion about today’s so-called music. I’m going back to playing my own cds that bring back good memories and provide warm, fuzzy feelings, not make you want to tear your hair out. LOL
My least favorite Christmas song is “Santa Baby.” Cannot stand that song in any way, shape, or form. My favorite songs are “O Holy Night” and “Mary, Did You Know?”

The Christmas season is the only time of year the office in which I work plays music. The speakers are set up on a desk directly behind me. So, the music blares behind me and in my ears all day. Unfortunately, it’s the worst Christmas music ever. And, the same songs are played over and over again……Michael Jackson with his annoying baby squeaky voice singing ‘I saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus.’ That song never ends; he just keeps going on and on….”I saw him; I did; I really did!!!!”
The “Driving Home for Christmas” song is the pits! Some guy with this irritating voice sings this ridiculous song about driving home. Duh!! The lyrics are idiotic; the song sounds like someone just rambling to himself under his breath about his boring drive.
The most annoying singer ever is Mariah Carey singing anything, ESPECIALLY Christmas songs. UGH! UGH! AND UGH! That screeching, yowling voice of hers makes me want to pick up those speakers and throw them against the wall.
What happened to the beautiful, festive, and celebratory tradidional music? That music really makes me feel the warmth of Christmas.

I don’t like “Grandma got run over by a reindeer” And I don’t like hearing the old Christmas standards sung with a modern twist.

This year’s Christmas music appears to have been written hastily just to get something out there to put on a “Christmas” album thinking it will sell & make money. Sounds like they didn’t really work very hard on the lyrics or sound of the finished product. Many familiar names in the music world have joined the chorus of goshawful Christmas catterwalling. No thought went into what they have produced, yet for some reason Comcast and others choose to play their songs over & over again ad nauseum. That “off” button is a blessing, especially this season.

It’s not a song but back in the 70s I worked in a clothing store in L.A. and my boss had the Cheech and Chong Christmas routine running continuously.ARRGGH!
