What in the world is going on with packaging and quality control ?
My son and I I did a lot of shopping during the summer sale and during football sale. It has taken forever for any of it to arrive and now that it has started coming in I received 3 broken items in two days . Yesterday and today . That’s weird because prior to that I rarely ever have gotten anything broken in the last two years . Two Rava Iris necklaces arrived completely broken and one cracked in 2 places . Two-piece football cup set arrived with both cups broken! All in one week ! What a hassle . Customer service has been nice but you have to wonder what’s going on with packaging and do they check these items before they mail them out ? I am still waiting on some items from the summer sale. Has anyone else had an issue lately ?

I have recieved a couple of boxed jewelry items in a padded bag with the adhesive labels from the paperwork crumples and stuck to the boxes. Luckily I didn’t need to return them and they were not gifts but it was twice in a short period.

? glad you posted because I thought it was just me. i ordered some of the new Iman jeans which by the way I love! but it took like two weeks to get here! It usually takes 5 days and it was not the post office fault. I wander if HSN is short handed in the shipping dept?

I orders shampoo, carols daughter on Oct.1, today is the 10th,& it’s still packaging. Tomorrow I’ll cancel & go on her sight.

Hi Sassygranny, I have ordered from HSN for about 14 years and have never received anything damaged. All my packages come via UPS, and I have to sign for them. Do yours come via The Post Office ? Maybe it is the delivery service that is damaging your packages. Plus I always receive them in the stated time frame when the order is placed. I am sorry you are having problems, I would mention this to your delivery service also. Take care AGGY788

Are your boxes arriving damaged too, giving you a hint that the contents might be as well? I have not received any damaged merchandise but my boxes have been arriving a mess lately. But that is from ALL the places I shop, not just HSN. I have noticed this problem a lot lately but since it’s not coming from just one place, I have to think it’s happening in transit. I received one box that had a sticker saying it was delivered damaged. Luckily the contents inside were fine. I feel like the people handling the packages are playing football with them sometimes. I don’t know what is going on but I don’t like it. But I know in my case, it’s not HSN’s fault. It really stinks though when you are so excited for something to arrive and then when it comes, you find it’s damaged. I’m so sorry that is happening to you.

Hello Sassygranny122! I’ve received packages banged up and torn open. I’ve also had things missing out of my package. When UPS delivers too. USPS is worse. Once I didn’t get my package at all. I suspect the delivery not HSN so much. I don’t think they would intentionally send something out in that condition. My advise is call HSN and at least make them aware of it. Just so they know to better look at shipping. I don’t think all things are shipped out from HSN directly. Like for instance, I ordered from Anna Griffin and 2 items shipped out of Fontana California and the other shipped out of Tennessee. So my question is where is HSN exactly and their warehouse for that matter? I’ve had issues with all of the major home shopping networks. I will never accept broken or defective merchandise & I always call and let them know what’s going on. Their customer service is great about sending out your order again and never charge for things not your fault. Sorry your having problems, but at least give C.S. a call. I’m sure they will help you resolve the matter. Good luck, have a blessed day Sassygranny122! 😉

I am SO glad you posted this!! I thought it was just my packages (don’t we all think this?) that were arriving with tape flapping half way off; packages that were OBVIOUSLY repackaged (no HSN HAPPY TO SEE YOU TOO!) on the box; NO PACKING MATERIAL on fragile items (called and ranted about that) and smooshed boxes (I mean, pancake flat).
I’m not sure what is going on but between the serious issue with sizes being WAY off from the size charts (including shoes) and the destruction of packages, I’d really like to know what is happening with HSN.

Usually my HSN orders are processed pretty quickly but not always recently. I ordered a Korres kit early on Oct 3; just now checked and it is still packaging late afternoon Oct. 11. I’m not in a huge hurry for it but do wonder why it takes 8 days to package and ship it. Wonder if there could be a short supply and the packaging department takes the rap???

I ordered several things last week from HSN along with other stores. Hurricane Matthew stopped air service up and down the east coast. Mother nature at work.:womanindifferent: Now the clean up begins…

Ordered a bunch on Craft day, Oct. 5, and my money was taken immediately, processed for 1 day and has been in packaging ever since. Ordered an item yesterday, Oct. 10, and it has shipped out today. This is frustrating. No wonder they were saying “order all the crafts you want and shipping is only $5”., seems to me, they saw this coming. Shipping should be free, other places are free when it takes over 7 days before it even leaves the facility. Very frustrating, and I don’t think they can blame it on the hurricane on East Coast, not when it has obviously been sitting in the warehouse for a week now.

I’m still waiting for my autoshipment of my Andrew Lessman Secure Complete Meal Replacement drink to ship out. It was suppose to ship out last Monday the 3rd – that was the shipment date. It still has not shipped out yet. Today is the 7th day in the 3-7 day expected delivery window. I have ran out of it and I am extremely irritated that I haven’t received it yet!!! Since it is an autoship item, it should have taken priority over any non-autoship orders be it Today’s Special orders etc. from other customers – I guess not!!!

Agreed on all fronts! This all began well before Hurricane Matthew. Last year I never had issues with delays in packaging or shipping or with items being oversold. This year it’s been fairly consistent. I’ve ordered items that turn out to have been oversold, only to be emailed days later to tell me that the product is unavailable even though my credit card has already been charged. Hosts aren’t saying when something is logistically sold out (most likely because they aren’t being told) and they also never mention when a product is on Extended Delivery. You don’t find that out until you go to check out even if the item is on air and they’re telling you that you will receive it in 3 to 7 business days…impossible if it’s on Extended Delivery! I’ve had expensive items crammed into boxes that are too small and then arrive damaged, bent and not in the high quality shape they should be. Some of that is on the carrier, but cramming items into smaller boxes is on HSN. I’ve also had items arrive in OK shape on the outside, but once opened I’ve found handbags with scratches, painted edges on leather missing or peeling, etc. etc. In some cases I’ve waited weeks for items to ship that were well oustide of that famous 3 to 7 day window. This really wasn’t an issue until this year for me. It has left me really angry with HSN on several occasions and when I have called CS I get different answers depening on who I speak to. I’m starting to question how much we are really valued as customers (which shouldn’t suprise me frankly) and realize that HSN seems to be much more concerned with the volume they can sell than whether or not we get what we pay for.

?, It’s 3-7 Business days, at least I know it is for my Andrew Lessman Secure Complete Meal Replacement (Protein Drink) autoshipment which was suppose to ship out a week and a half ago on Monday, October 3rd. Weather is not a factor because my Andrew Lessman Secure protein drink autoshipment is always shipped from the Piney Flats, TN warehouse and is shipped to my middle TN address – TN was not affected by Hurricane Matthew at all. And it is not the UPS drivers’ problems because my autoshipment order is not in UPS’s hands yet – it has not shipped out yet, it is still saying “Packaging” on HSN – And, No tracking number which means it has not shipped out.
I also know now that the HSN warehouses are having technical difficulties, because someone posted on another thread (Home & Crafts thread: Craft Day Purchases still in Packaging?) on here that they talked to a CS representative and were told that, so…that is why they are way behind on getting (about) the past 2 weeks of orders shipped out. The CS representative said they hope to start getting all the backed up orders shipped out by this Saturday…
