JPA-21 Just Playin’ Around 21
We enjoy meeting new people as well as continuing the friendships we’ve made. So whether you want to make a one-time post or ‘talk’ multiple times daily, join in. Ask your questions, make a comment or just say Hi! We’d love to hear from you!
We also all try to get together on Friday evenings during HSN Game Night (8 PM Eastern) to answer the Trivia questions(assuming they work!) to earn tickets and to laugh and chat. So join in the fun and get some tickets.
We have newbie gamers as well as die-hard players whose names you’ll see on the leaderboards. Even if you have never played a game in the arcade, post your question and someone here will help out. We like to surprise each other and make each other laugh. So bring your sense of humor and join in the fun!

lemire, you asked about our treatment of bugs. I think it’s a little different than the garbage disposal method you described….

The shoes that I ordered from HSN arrived yesterday. They fit well and are comfortable, but they are a little slippery…..

Basset, happy that you’re safe but sorry to hear of the massive cleanup and power outages that you wrote about.
It’s really terrible that people are receiving power outage emails that contain cyber attacks. You just can’t open emails or especially click on links unless you were the one who initiated the contact. The attackers are able to mimic the real pages of the IRS, banks, power companies and other places you have dealings with. To be safe, if you get what seems like a legit one, you should go to the website on your own, not through the link. Or send an email to the real email address of the place they pretend to be from. Often you can see the imposters real URL and you will see that the email is NOT coming from the place they are pretending to be.
I even had a message (not via email) on my screen a couple of days ago that looked like Adobe. It wanted me to update Flash. The box had the Adobe Flash icons and everything but when I looked at the URL, it was from some place I’d never heard of. I got rid of that message and then went to the Adobe website on my own to check out about the updates.
Emails are a real concern because of the hacking of Yahoo. It’s very important to regularly change your passwords. Even if you are being super careful, you’re only as safe as the people you are in email contact with. Malicious companies can even get your email address by getting into a computer of a friend who has your email address on their contacts list.
When they invade someone else’s computer, they are even able to send you emails that arrive in your inbox with that person’s email address on it. That has happened to me twice, but I spotted that it wasn’t real and notified the friend. The danger is in clicking on a link in that email. If in doubt, email (in a fresh email) to that friend or company and ask if they sent it to you. If not, they have to work with their email co. to get things fixed.
Always mark these emails as spam and let your email co. know if something makes it past their spam filter.
Also don’t click on pop-ups. Don’t even click on the X to get rid of them. They are often set up to infiltrate your computer when you do. Don’t go to a website through links and ads on the sides or within a website that you’ve gone to. These are often filled with dangerous sites. You can’t be too careful.

Hope you have a “grand” time on your vacation to the Grand Hotel Sweet:heart:!

When twirling your spaghetti is just too much work, this is very efficient!

Why will no one at HSN make any attempt to contact me after countless attempts of me contacting them? When you have a question that requires more than 2 minutes of someone’s time to look into – that just put you on permanent mute!!!

All us JPAers have no trouble parking at all – but I’m kind of guessing that DBR is still out shopping and hasn’t landed yet!
-
It seems my oh so dear friend DBR has struck again! Even go after my poor, innocent, adorable, precious dog! (Do you think I got enough adjectives in that line for the spoiled little brat – but I love him to death).
The good news is, now that I know that DBR is a nutritional expert, and I really do need a little help getting myself on a more balanced diet – beings she is so concerned, that she will be providing daily food deliveries!
You know how they rope off the entire parking lot in order to re-pave it? Now, who do you suppose this car belongs to. I was questioned because as you can clearly see they have that tire lock on and were just preparing to tow it. I was the “good” friend and said I didn’t know the owner even while I watched her running away as fast as she could!

gmeme, I know that you’re having a great time at the family reunion. Can’t wait to hear about it.
-
Don’t forget that Saturday Night Live is on tonight. It should be good as they have a lot of material to work with after the political developments the last few days!!
-
florida, glad to hear that you’re still doing fine.

SweetheartPines, have a great time on your trip. I know that you’ll have lots of pics and stories to tell us. Sorry that Buddy can’t make the trip, but he’ll have some stories to tell too, plus he’ll be so glad to see you. I found a car that you can use to pick him up. I have a feeling he’ll like it. :womanlol:
