JPA-20 Just Playin’ Around 20

Well, I see by the appearance of my car, Fall is here…

Remember that the Vice Presidential Debate is on tonight at 9PM Eastern.   Because of the personalities, I think it will quite different from the 1st Presidential one.  imho

Good morning JPAers!:womanlol:  Congratulations Sweet:heart:Pines on posting your first pictures!!!!!  Between DBR and Lemire’s directions I knew you would figure it out.  DBR taught a lot of us how to post pictures, as well as many other things, and we all owe her a debt of gratitude.:heart:  Melch got to celebrate her anniversary in all her “crowning” glory with her knight in shinning armour!:womanwink:  Let’s hope today is as wonderful and full of surprises for us all.  Now it’s COFFEE TIME…………….

Wow, what a day here!  I didn’t get on until after dinner and then I wanted to learn about posting from an Ipad.  It was getting late and I realized there were pages written today.  It started Saturday remembering all the games we used to play and somehow got off onto personal stories.  And so many of you told your stories and they are beautiful.  

I have to say my eyes have cried a ton of tears reading them and then came back to find that SweetHeart had posted her very first picture and I was never so excited for someone!

There are so many tragic stories stories that have been shared here the last few days it is heart wrenching.  But reflecting on it I thought, here are all these women that somehow found each other online, we don’t really “know” each other yet there is this bond.  A bond that makes you feel like you can bring any problem you have here and someone is going to grab your hand and help you to keep standing.  

I think these stories have only increased that bond and made it even more powerful.  Many of us have all endured some sort of tragedy but we are all still standing and taking the next step wherever that next step might be taking us.  Always trying to keep our heads high yet always knowing that God is the most important part of our lives.

I do not mean to dismiss all that has been going on here today but I was trying to figure out if Sweet:heart: can post pictures from her Ipad.  I am very happy to say it is much easier than what it sounded like.  What I just posted was from my Ipad.  I am soooo happy.

I have a lot of messages to go back to but I have been on the go all day and then I wanted to once and for all figure out if the Ipad can post pictures.

I think this is fabulous news for Sweet:heart: but I will have to write out some new directions now that I understand how it works.  It is actually easier from the Ipad than the Laptop if you want to believe that one!  I am not the best direction giver so please bare with me.

Get on the Internet in whatever means you do so.  In the search bar go to Google and then type in funny animal images.  On my Ipad a whole screen just appeared leaving out several steps I do from my laptop.  If for any reason all these pictures don’t show up – look at the titles going across the top of the page.  Mine says all, images, videos, news, maps, etc. Press on images.  The page will then come up

Scroll through the pictures and when you find one put your finger on it. It will come up big.  Now is the time to check all over it to see if it has any copyright on it (I have more to say about that in a bit but one story at a time).

If you press it again it will get even bigger.  The really cool thing here is now you can just keep swiping and the pictures will just keep scrolling along.  (You can’t do that on a laptop).  

When you find a picture and it looks good, hold your finger on it for a few seconds and it will come up with 2 option, save image or copy.  Press on the save image.  

I was really confused at this point because I didn’t know where it was saving the pictures to but it is saving it to your “Photos” which should be right next to your camera icon.  

Now get back into the HSN website and JPA and start a conversation like you usually do.  When you’re ready, hit the square box at the top for “images” and select choose file.  Now you get 3 options, select Photo Library.  Tap on your “Camera Roll”, find the picture and tap it twice.  You are then back at your post and tap on “insert image”.

Walla – your image is in your post!  Tap on Send and we all get to see what you have done.

I suggest you write down the steps I wrote here, then go give it a try.  

You don’t have to make any special places to put your pictures like I thought – they just automatically go to your camera roll.  And that swiping across all the pictures is really cool and they are really big – you can see all the things most of us have been guilty of doing and posting pictures that are copyrighted and getting them poofed.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you Sweet:heart:.  You will be blowing all our minds if we get a picture from you soon!  I’m so excited – I feel like a kid in a candy store right now!  I hope you do to!

Hello ladies of JPA, Well today has been busy, hectic and a little crazy for me! Long story shorten; can you believe today my husband came to my rescue and married me 18 yrs ago today? Time flies so quickly. Well, besides being busy with others today, I only saw my husband early this morning during coffee. Earlier today my temp. crown fell out my mouth. I went right to CVS pharmacy and purchased a dental repair kit. I followed directions carefully with the adhesive and temp. crown and in it went. Of course, I did this over my bathroom sink. I let it go, then down came the crown and down the drain it went. Hubby was not home yet and I was too tired to open the drain trap myself. Hubby finally came home tired himself and opened the sink trap and retrived the temp. crown, thus coming to my rescue again. LOL!

Dear Lemire and Sweet:heart:  Although my circumstances were different I know about leaving a place you love in order to move on.  After my husband passed I had a lifetime of memories and a huge house full of things to dispose of.  Once I realized I could not afford to stay in New York and that Florida would offer me a wonderful chance to move on I just put my head down and it was full steam ahead.  It took me two years to take care of all that I needed to do and make the move to Florida.  I am making a long and very emotional story short but the point is this – you can do it!  This type of change is hard but once it is done your emotional healing will begin.  And, as you both have said, you will always have your memories.  I wish you both the very best and know that all of us are here to help in any way we can.  Deek:heart:
