JPA-20 Just Playin’ Around 20

Good afternoon all!  Hey Lemire – don’t let the picture stuff get you down.  This has, and will continue, to happen to us all.  When I first started posting pictures I became as frustrated and embarrassed as you must feel.  It is truly hard to scrutinize each picture for copyright’s, trade marks and water marks.  Don’t let that stop you from posting though.  You are a joy to read and a very vital part of JPA!

Sweet:heart: – Great news about an extra year at the lake.  You seem to have a good handle on your Mom’s problems.  I agree with DBR about the four wheel, padded seat rollator.  There are a lot of folks in my community that use them and they fold up to fit into the car.  It will aid her in walking and give her a place to sit if needed.  They even have baskets on the front of them for her personal things.  Going to Macinac Island should be good for both of you and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Never mind – if I log out I can see they are triangles.  I think this is my last straw here.  Just a few too many things going on for my cup of tea.

Edit: Note to moderators: my apologies on using the old Ripley’s Believe it or Not Postcard  (longest porch in the world, 800 feet!).  The postcard is far too old and wasn’t copywrited.  However, it is reproduced and sold by a company whose faint name appeared off the image at the base.  I am assuming that is why it was removed.  Please accept my mea culpa, as I did not see the faint name off the postcard until I posted.  I’m brand new at posting images and am trying to be hyper-vigilant in examining the images, hopefully will catch anything in the white space surrounding them, too!

BassetBabe, I found something to get you for Christmas—a Basset Chia pet!  Don’t forget to water it!!

Truly some amazing news.  First, to make a long story short, my Mom and I are going on an all expenses paid trip next Mon.-Thurs. to stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island, MI.  This is one of the highest-end, prestigious, historic hotels in the nation.

Second, she announced to me that we were not moving next spring or summer, but would stay at least another year. Our mutual friends from Chicago were up and they convinced her that; she has a good support network where we live; $18,000 (annual rent on the duplex) could buy a lot of handyman, gardening, and snow plowing help; the duplex was too small for us, and; by then, I’ll be receiving my social security and thus won’t have to move twice.  We’ll still be purging and preparing for a sale.

God’s ways are truly wondrous,??

Bassetbabe, it is so good to see you here everyday! You have truly been missed.

Good morning to each of you and I was so happy to be able to reply to a few posts.I know 1 might have gotten lost in the pages so I will post to you here.

SweetheartPines,I am so very sorry that your mom’s health is declining.That is so hard to watch and I say that with sad experience..I also read where you will be moving and I know that is so difficult.But please know you will carry those memories with you..You are such a sweet lady and I will keep you in my prayers that all works out in a very good way and you both enjoy your move when the time comes.

I am so sorry if I brought any sadness into this thread talking about the shooting.There has been more news about it(which I feel sure will be on your news) but I  will talk no more about it.I know some want  mostly  laughter here and honestly I am still very sad.So I will not be posting again for a while.But I will try to read when able or play a few games.

I want to thank each of you that PM or e-mail me for your support and understanding,plus  so many  posts that were kind.Many thanks for the 2 or 3 basset pics that were posted to make me feel better..Nothing like a sweet basset to heal your heart.:heart:…I just did not want anyone worrying when you do not see me posting.here.

I hope cool weather comes soon to where you live.Nothing like a cool crisp day or night to make us feel alive and rejuvinated.:womanhappy:
