HSN Arcade Issues
Good afternoon, HSN Community members. We’re currently aware of the issues some of you are experiencing with the new HSN Arcade layout and we are working diligently to get these corrected. We greatly appreciate your patience while we work through this. Thanks so much!
7/16/15 Updates (unless otherwise noted):
Hi Gamers!
We first want to say how much we appreciate your patience this past week! As you can imagine, last week’s Arcade updates didn’t go quite as smoothly as we’d hoped and our teams have been working to fix issues and tweak features based on your feedback.
We wanted to update you on some of the things we’ve corrected and are working on.
Arcade Menu Bar
– The black menu bar at the top is no longer “sticky.” Now, when you’re in theater mode and increase the browser zoom, the black bar will not increase with everything else.
– The “Community” link on the menu bar now goes directly to the Arcade forum.
– We changed the text color of the current and lifetime tickets from pink to white.
– The “Hello, Nickname” link now goes to your profile Favorite Games tab instead of your Rewards History tab.
Game Play
– Some players were being directed to the Rewards Store, Winners or Community page during game play. That won’t happen any longer.
– Fixed the rotation issue that prevented tablet users from starting in portrait mode. This issue only impacted users accessing the HSN.com desktop version on their tablets – not users playing on the HSN Tablet app.
Spin2Win
– Fixed the issue with the game not loading.
– Fixed the issue with the game not awarding tickets.
– Fixed the issue where the game would show the same matches for multiple spins.
– The Spin2Win rules have been updated to reflect the correct dates and amounts.
– Fixed the issue with some customers’ spins not starting at 10 on a new day.
– We fixed an issue some players were having logging in to play Spin2Win on our apps.
Mahjongg
– Fixed the issue with the game not loading on iOS devices.
– Fixed the issue with the game not awarding points.
Flip Out
– Fixed the issue that prevented some players from advancing past level 1.
Tri Peaks Solitaire
– Updated the game with new scoring.
– The game is now available on mobile devices, however, it is no longer available on Internet Explorer 8 or 9.
Rewards Store
– Fixed the issue with the incorrect messaging that a sweepstakes has ended when there is still time to enter.
– The alternate entry option has been added back to the sweepstakes rules.
Games Pages
– In Progress: The TS Jigsaw Puzzle image incorrectly shows “fastest to solve the puzzle.” Update 8/18/15: We are hoping to have this corrected within the next couple of weeks.
– In Progress: Watching HSN live and want to buy? The “Shop This Item” link will open in a new tab so that your game play is not interrupted. Update 8/18/15: We are hoping to have this corrected in early September.
– Added the game carousel back to the in-game and game over pages. This allows you to view games, in alphabetical order, without going back to the main Games page. Update 8/18/15: We have received suggestions to make this a continuous loop. Although we are unable to make that change at this time, we will explore other options to improve your experience using this feature.

I am not able to get the games on my screen at all now.Hopefully the glitches will be taken care of soon!I have gotten a bit hooked on playing,so I am missing it.

I hope they can fix it. It’s awful. No points for mahjongg anymore. Tripeaks is awful. Very frustrating!

Thank you hsn for acknowledging there are some glitches. I do like the new format when I’m playing on my laptop but I hope you can fix the issue I am having that I can’t play on my iPhone.

I preferred the small listing of all the games –now it takes forever to find what you want to play. And you don’t get your score for the game you played. Who came up with this??

Hi Myra, thanks for the heads up. I guess lots of us are having issues with the new system. I don’t shop online but I do like to watch the shopping on TV late at night when hubby is sound asleep! Hopefully, the techies will be able to iron out all the wrinkles and keep us loyal players happy!:smileywink:

Just signed on and saw the new format. Wow – what a terrific improvement. It took me a few minutes (well, maybe more like 10 minutes) to understand the changes, but I am very happy with this new look. AND — my scores have actually improved on 3 of my favorite games, I kid you not. I don’t know what it is or why it is happening, but I will enjoy this while it lasts. Thanks HSN!

I just noticed if you play a game without logging in first, at game end you would previously get a prompt to login- in to save that score and any tickets you earned…No More!! I forgot to login…got a high score and logged in after…even checked the leaderboard….did not save it!! I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or not…just sayin…log in before playing??¿¿¡¡???!!

Please don’t forget that there is no longer a shortcut to our favorite games, after I play a game, if I want to go to another favorite I have to click through 4 pages to get to them, it used to be just a click on "My Profile" and "Games" and I’d be at my list.
Ok, now it’s down to just click on my name, favorites and games. Thanks to whoever fixed it.

The problems with the Toy Chest seem to be fixed now. It’s odd that for some people things are too small and for me things are too big.
I am glad that our concerns have been recognized and are being corrected.

sissybuddy…on each game at the bottom of the game screen, there is a place that says…
Play in theater mode…in the bottom right hand corner of all the games.
If you click on that …it will enlarge the game and get rid of all the ads and other pictures. But, not the dreaded black bar at the top. This might help you.

Thank you for getting this fixed, it is the worst layout that I have ever encountered.. Playing the games I would have to on some make the screen larger, and the puzzle I just finished was the worst ever. With having that black bar up top, and not being able to make the screen larger makes it almost impossible to see. Thank you again, and we will all be looking forward to being happy again. :smileysad::smileyhappy:
