Good afternoon, HSN Community members. We’re currently aware of the issues some of you are experiencing with the new HSN Arcade layout and we are working diligently to get these corrected. We greatly appreciate your patience while we work through this. Thanks so much!

7/16/15 Updates (unless otherwise noted):

Hi Gamers!

We first want to say how much we appreciate your patience this past week! As you can imagine, last week’s Arcade updates didn’t go quite as smoothly as we’d hoped and our teams have been working to fix issues and tweak features based on your feedback.

We wanted to update you on some of the things we’ve corrected and are working on.

Arcade Menu Bar

– The black menu bar at the top is no longer “sticky.” Now, when you’re in theater mode and increase the browser zoom, the black bar will not increase with everything else.
– The “Community” link on the menu bar now goes directly to the Arcade forum.
– We changed the text color of the current and lifetime tickets from pink to white.
– The “Hello, Nickname” link now goes to your profile Favorite Games tab instead of your Rewards History tab.

Game Play

– Some players were being directed to the Rewards Store, Winners or Community page during game play. That won’t happen any longer.
– Fixed the rotation issue that prevented tablet users from starting in portrait mode. This issue only impacted users accessing the HSN.com desktop version on their tablets – not users playing on the HSN Tablet app.

Spin2Win

– Fixed the issue with the game not loading.
– Fixed the issue with the game not awarding tickets.
– Fixed the issue where the game would show the same matches for multiple spins.
– The Spin2Win rules have been updated to reflect the correct dates and amounts.

– Fixed the issue with some customers’ spins not starting at 10 on a new day.
– We fixed an issue some players were having logging in to play Spin2Win on our apps.

Mahjongg

– Fixed the issue with the game not loading on iOS devices.
– Fixed the issue with the game not awarding points.

Flip Out

– Fixed the issue that prevented some players from advancing past level 1.

Tri Peaks Solitaire

– Updated the game with new scoring.
– The game is now available on mobile devices, however, it is no longer available on Internet Explorer 8 or 9.

Rewards Store

– Fixed the issue with the incorrect messaging that a sweepstakes has ended when there is still time to enter.
– The alternate entry option has been added back to the sweepstakes rules.

Games Pages

– In Progress: The TS Jigsaw Puzzle image incorrectly shows “fastest to solve the puzzle.” Update 8/18/15: We are hoping to have this corrected within the next couple of weeks.

– In Progress: Watching HSN live and want to buy? The “Shop This Item” link will open in a new tab so that your game play is not interrupted. Update 8/18/15: We are hoping to have this corrected in early September.

– Added the game carousel back to the in-game and game over pages. This allows you to view games, in alphabetical order, without going back to the main Games page. Update 8/18/15: We have received suggestions to make this a continuous loop. Although we are unable to make that change at this time, we will explore other options to improve your experience using this feature.

Nothing works to enlarge the size of the games! How can HSN’s web designers not fix this. I do not have the eyes of an 8 year old. HELP US

What can I say. Complained about the old tri Peaks in mobile be replaced by a new one harder to see cards. Now there is no tri Peaks there. Is that the arcasde’s solution? Losing my respect for those people and their mickey mouse solutions……Ronnie

Looking forward to better updates – or even revert-backs in some cases. Really miss the points totals following each game, and also the ability to scroll through various games to make selections for different games when you feel like it. Love the arcade, but miss the ease of the previous version.

I also would like this arcade game site put back the way it was! There is just too much to complain about! Even the points , which are now shown in red on black is hard to read for many of us!!! The so-called expert that thought this mess up needs to be fired!

Please put the arcade back to the way it was. I’m so lost with this new format. I can’t find my points, games too small for my vision. Oy !!

PyschoMom, so sorry for your loss. I know all of this must be hard on you. It takes awhile for the heart to mend. I know your heart :heart: has a big hole in it. I can feel you. Experience gives us compassion. It’s O.K. to grieve my love. So many of us say, "you shouldn’t sit or lay around and cry and grieve. you have to get over this. It’s not good for you." Yes, half of that is true….maybe. To let you into my life, we lost a son he was 16. That took the rug right under my feet. It made me numb. I had the oldest in college and the last child still in school also. Had to try and keep it together for my children and husband. But I found (and still find) if I want to cry….look at pictures….whatever (now just as back then when his accident happen) "I WILL DO IT". It takes time dear. When we loose someone we just fall. Almost like a child crawling. So with time we will get up from crawling (being so down) and stand-up and walk again….strongly. The good Lord really helped. Took alot of faith to understand my loss….but I accepted. I will always be here for you and so will many others on this forum. We got your back sister-girlfriend! Just like the song, "if your down …. just call us….and we will be there for you."

Spin to Win only has a page with umbrellas on it..no slot machine..I’ve had this happen the last 2 days??

I play mahjongg on my iPhone but the new format is so small that I can hardly see the tiles on the second and third screens. I’d like to know if hsn will be fixing this or if this is the way it will stay. So now I playi on my laptop and the scoring doesn’t seem right. I finished the puzzle with 1:30 left on the clock and didn’t even get 50 points. Is this their way of making sure we get less points???

DubuqueRams…I will be back on by July 1 I hope. I have not been a super Cricut user but I know how to use it. I just love my Cuttlebug so much. It’s obvious from the Sneak Peaks that the theme of July 1 is the Cricut. I was hoping for more on the MINC. Gosh..I probably should move this to crafting thread. Well, maybe this will inspire everyone to find out what all the hype is about. Anyway, thanks to everyone for being so patient. I will read all the posts very soon and let’s get crafting. I’ve learned a lot in the last few months. I watch tutorials when I’m feeling down. See you later in Crafting. I would like to enter for some prizes, since I’ve won twice in June, and don’t want to lose my winning streak. That doesn’t look too promising right now. Maybe things will get worked out over the weekend. (if IT works over the weekend). I would hope they would. Thanks again for your kind words!!!

Thanks Cindy819…Sometimes life really sucks but I’ve learned that you have to move on no matter how much sadness in your heart. I grieved almost 3 years when my BFF/cousin died at a young age. I am an emotional person, but when my little brother died, I think he sent me a gift from heaven. (just my feelings) I found out I was going to be a Nana a few days after his funeral. If don’t think he wanted be to grieve for him too long. He knew that’s the only think I wanted and didn’t have. What a good brother!! Being such a big crafter I got all these little girl stamps to color with alcohol markers. OOPS…I don’t think John Porter would appreciate these little girls just yet. Thanks for thinking of me.

I’m sorry to say that I don’t care for the new arcade, either. That black banner has to go. It’s blocks too much area so that you are required to keep game low on screen. Also, you need to click to another page in order for game selections, as well as account, etc. The games are a bit larger, which is a plus, as well the new graphic are quite nice. All in all, it is not as user friendly and convenient as the old version. I do miss the coupons for free shipping, etc. on the Spin-to-Win. I guess you can’t please everyone. 🙂
