HSN Arcade Enhancements for 2015

Since the launch of HSN Arcade, our goal has been to give you a fun place to play and win while shopping HSN. We’ve released dozens of fun games, awarded thousands of prizes, launched innovative game features across our site, and made many new Arcade friends right here in the Community.

We are focused on continuing to make your Arcade experience better and to do that, we will be removing My Missions and badges on Wednesday, 1/21/2015. This change will allow us to dedicate time and resources on bringing you more of what you love about Arcade.

1. More Games! New and exciting games are coming and we’ll expand the number of games available on HSN Mobile.

2. More Tickets! We’re adding more ways for you to earn tickets throughout HSN.com

3. More Rewards! Increased reward product prizes offered and bigger, better “experience HSN” sweepstakes.

Our teams have begun working on improving your Arcade experience and we will communicate big enhancements to you, here in the Community, as they come up throughout the year. Please visit the Arcade FAQs for more information about games, tickets and sweepstakes.

We want to thank you all for being such great Arcade members over the past 5 years. As a token of our thanks, we want to “triple” your fun on select games. Check back throughout January to learn more!

I will miss the My Missions. Badges were fun to collect! And now they will be removed? I don’t like that. If badges were earned then they had value and now they are removed as if they were worthless. That does not feel right.

I can play all of these same games on other websites, but they don’t give you *anything*, you get a score, that’s all. At least here at HSN they let you earn tickets (for us hoarders, that’s a lovely gift) that can be used to enter the sweepstakes. I know there is no guarantee of winning, but it makes playing the games a little more satisfying, at least to me. I get all excited when the tickets are doubled or TRIPLED!!! Also, I like that the game shows the regular tickets then the amount that is tripled, I hadn’t noticed that before.

Anyway, I wouldn’t turn down being allowed to redeem a certain number of tickets, maybe once a quarter for free S&H or a discount, that would limit the dollar value per account, give people time to accrue tickets and help me justify the thousands of dollars I spend annually with HSN. :catsurprised:

More tickets don’t change the fact that the odds of winning an actual item in the rewards store is nearly impossible!! There should be a way to spend the tickets to earn free shipping or discounts that are real instead of some impossible chance at winning something.

I have never understood the point of the badges, they don’t give tickets for them. I am glad they are adding more games, variety is always nice…I do wish they would bring back more Mahjong games as they are my favorites. The holiday one was especially fun and challenging. I do wish HSN would do something about changing up the tickets system though. I feel like when you play, and get so far, you should get more tickets for the farther you get. If you only get 50 tickets for a win regardless of if you win with a high score or low and no time left or 5 min. time left, it should make a difference in the amount of tickets you get. If you win with a higher score and added time left it should count for more tickets as an incentive to keep playing over and over again, to keep trying to beat your last score. If you don’t get any better ticket payouts for geting better at the game and going farther, there is no incentive to keep playing the game.

How about the option of using "tickets" to buy FREE shipping coupons that can be used towards anything, even clearance items…

I also have that problem where it freeze or I’ll lose points. Especially when I play the puzzle and it freeze where I have to wait for so many seconds and lose time.

Thanks HSN/ARCADE for all that you do for all of us. Anytime we need anything, ya’ll are there for all of us. Ya’ll make playing games and socializing really "FUN". I have met so many people through the Forums. The games relax me, pass time, use my brain/memory, socialize and just have alot of FUN.

If you have to remove the badges, etc., well go ahead…..do your thing! Sounds like ya’ll are gonna make everything, "BETTER", I’m all good with it. Looking forward to new, fun, exciting games. Like the song from Sam Cook….."CHANGES ARE GONNA COME"……It is so good for changes….brakes up routine.

Good thing I haven’t had time to pursue the missions yet. Still I’m sorry to see them gone.
