Anyone Else Having Problems With HSN Website?

  Maybe just make a banner to cover the whole page with maybe just a peephole in the center!  Like a looking glass!

I just had to sign in to post this.I have to sign in every time i go to another sight

The floating search bar is still a problem and now there is an annoying doorbuster banner on the bottom of the screen which keeps coming back after clicking on the X to close it.   Enough with the banners! 

I have to log in and out continually.

Please fix the big drop screen . I lost out on several items in the last few days . Mrs Apfel feather purse sold out before I could zoom low enough to hit enter . TIA

Sweet:heart:, you are certainly not alone.  I continuously have to keep logging in and out of the site.  If I’m in The Community and make a post it won’t let me post again until I leave the HSN site and log in again.  

Going from the Arcade to the Community I have to put in my password AGAIN, every time.

The smile button is erratic, it does work, you just have to keep hitting it and sometimes there is a delay or it won’t show up until you log out of that thread and log back into it.

Many times when I post I get an error message saying it has been converted to HTML so I hit post again and my computer freezes.  I have to log out and back in and most of the time the post will be there.  Sometimes it isn’t and I have to do it all over again.  But I always am afraid when I have to hit it twice it will double post.  That has only happened to me a couple times.

Yesterday the Puzzle wouldn’t work and said I had to update my Flash.  I had just updated it a few days prior but I updated it again using their highlighted link.  In the end, I downloaded Flash 3 times before the Puzzle would load.  All the other games were working.

And of course we shall not forget that last Friday Night Game Night did not work.

That banner still keeps floating around.

The site can become so slow you could take a nap.  

The site just freezes and you to go back into the site through your computers search bar.

I don’t know if this is new or something that was always a problem, but I have tried to search on several products and the results aren’t anything close to what I am searching on.  I was looking for Argon Oil and I got pages of everything but skin care items.  The other things I was searching for resulting in the same thing.  The only search that works is if you put in the item #.

I read on this post someone got a response from CS saying they are working on it.  But of course they don’t give any information as when they think all these problems will be resolved.

I find it so disingenuous to let us sit through another entire Friday night when they could have just said we are cancelling it do to technical problems instead of having everyone wait the 2 1/2 hours AGAIN!

I don’t see that anything has improved on this site.  What on earth are they doing to it???  I’ve heard they were making some changes but in the process they have screwed up this entire site and it seems they are in no hurry to fix it.

Still problems with smiling–having to hit it over and over, and long delays for it to actually respond with a smile.

I’m also having problems, when I’m looking at products/goods, at the page refusing to advance beyond the first page.  If I press 2 (for page 2)’ the single advance arrow, or the arrows which should take you to the last page, nothing happens, and 1 and 2, or 1 and the arrow, both stay highlighted, and the second, or any subsequent pages refuse to load.

I also have not figured out the method to the madness of staying logged in.  Why, when you start out logged in, and you play games and scoring is fine, you go back to the Community and you’re logged out?  Periodically, it seems to “unlog”” me for no discernible reason.

I keep getting a warning now from my device,  that the certificate for the community website does not match.  Also, , once on here tells me my connection is not secure. I had to go to Arcade to get into the community without the warning.  Any ideas? 

***Update*** Per one of the Mods,  Web team is aware of the problems and continue to work on improvements!  Let’s not hold our breath. ..Patience all  Lol

Anyway,  at least they’re trying and let’s hope they get all this corrected soon!  😉

I don’t know what is more frustrating – the problems with the website or HSN never giving an honest answer to anyone for all the problems.  

As I have said before and I will say it again, when I worked for a company that did major network changes they were all done on a separate server and tested repeatedly for errors before it was ever allowed to go live.  Sure we would discover things after the fact but how did the IT people that worked with me get things fixed so fast when it appears that this site is just going from bad to worse.

They could have taken that stupid banner down weeks ago.  They could start being straight with us with what they are doing and why we are having so many problems.  I swear if I hear “clear your cache and cookies and open up a new browser” one more time I’m going to loose my cookies!

I complained about the fact they remove pictures that clearly aren’t against guidelines and they are not at all fair about what they remove and what they don’t.  Today I logged on and it looked like they took a broom to many threads and just went on a deleting picture frenzy.  Now that was certainly one of the more important things they should be looking into don’t you think?

I haven’t had any issues with logging in like several of my friends are – my problem is that it freezes all the time and I have to keep logging in over and over again.

The smile button works – and then it doesn’t.  Pages open for no apparent reason other than sending up your blood pressure a little more.

The pages bouncing up and down is about to drive me more nuts than I already am!  Trying to type while the box is jumping up and down and then you don’t even know if you are really posting where you intend to post.

HSN has some really big problems and for the life of me I cannot understand why they are doing all this work on a live site!   I don’t think I’ve ever been on another reputable website that has problems like this.  There are even problems trying to place orders.  You would think that the huge chunk of their revenues that come from this site – shopping would have been a number 1 priority to fix.  

They keep asking us to explain what device we are using, what browser we are using, send pictures of the problems – I really think it is all to give us busy work to do to keep our minds off the real problem – this site is a mess and their IT Department really could use a real good revamping!  What difference does it make what device we are using?  It should be working on all devices and with all the more popular browsers.  

I think we can ask questions until the cows come home but I don’t think we are ever going to get a straight answer as to what the problem really is!  If it weren’t for all the wonderful people here in The Community, I would be out of here.  And the really sad thought is – is that what HSN is counting on – that the bonds of The Community will keep us here while they wonder around in no hurry to fix anything?

I have to use the arrow for reply.  I cannot post anymore on my iPad or laptop.  This so frustrating.  It takes so many times to post a smile. 

HSN If you could please, pleeeeeeeeease, get rid of that DROP DOWN.  I am convinced it is making everything jumpy, and it gets in the way while I am posting.  In general I just hate it.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

Half of the time, when I try to give a smile, it takes me to a blank white page, with the tiny smiley in the upper left corner, along with the number of smiles (if any).

Also, when I’m logged in and go to post, it tells me authentication failed. I log in and out several times, and it finally posted.
