Little Steamer question
Hello all, how long do these last, I think mine just went on the blink. I have had it probably 2-3 years, I may have added too much water last time, not sure if I am guilty of it’s demise or not. I just havent seen them on the air for awhile and it isnt like I need to, I can just go get one. The demos just give me that nudge and sometimes a deal. Joy…are you rolling into town anytime soon?

ANGELOUT I HAVE HAD MINE OVER 6 YEARS . I USE FILTERED WATER BECAUSE I HAVE WELL WATER . MAYBE A LITTLE VINEGAR IN IT WILL HELP.GOOD LUCK . I MAY HAVE SEEN SOME IN CLEARANCE.

I have had mine for at least 5 years. I use distilled water in mine as we have very hard water here.
You may want to see if using vinegar to descale it helps. If not I think she will probably have a steamer deal fairly soon for the gifting season Of course you can now get them at Target I think.

It’s a very simple heating mechanism (the dome inside heats up when it’s plugged in and turned on, period) and the water doesn’t go through a “system” so I can’t imagine that the type of water or too much water matters. The dome inside can be cleaned with wet paper towels if it has a lot of white scale on it. I’ve had several of the steamers and some lasted longer than others. They sell both sizes in Bed Bath and Beyond. I think the large one is $19.

They sell them at Target or maybe BB&B. I’ve had my steamer for about 4-5 years. I use hard water from the faucet, and it still works. I never leave the water in the steamer when I’m done. I drain if I still have some H2O left inside the mechanism.
