JOY MANGANO SET OF 2 PILLOWS….. ??

Update,sent them back yesterday…        Hadn’t not box had a big rip,and tried taping it up… Had to really press hard to place the pillows back in box..

As mentioned the size did not fit any of my standard-quessn pillow cases or pillow protectors…

Got it for my husband who really needs a pillow replacement He fights me all the time with getting a new pillow…

Needless to say was very disapointed with them…

As i think mentioned i like the My pillow which i have one…

Do think i will try and order one for him…

I purchased Joy’s pillows about a year ago at one of HSN’s Outlet stores. The price was very low and so I purchased two. My husband adores these pillows for sitting up in bed and reading a book or newspaper. He is not too happy when sleeping. He finds them too thick. I had a King size protector and a King size pillow case and both fit beautifully. These pillows are not for me. I enjoy something softer and less expensive. 

Mine doesn’t fit in a larger pillow case.  At least I tried the King case.  The pillows are too fat and when you stuff them in a pillow case of any standard size they are like laying on a beached whale.  They become very hard and high.  I think you have to buy Joy’s pillow cases.  

I also don’t like that they don’t have a protector.  I ended up making a slip cover with an envelope pocket for the protector and some ivory pillowcases so they would go with most sheet sets.

I have the travel pillow.  I put it sideways in a standard pillowcase and cut it in half and hemmed it and then folded the open end under, like the flap on a hand bag, to use it, but I like it.  I know everyone doesn’t sew.  Lots of people seem to love these pillows but I think My Pillow has more advantages, especially since it’s machine washable.  I put both in the guest bedroom and everyone seems to end up with My Pillow on the bed when they leave.

Also, the shape is a joke.  It is not contoured like the cover.  It is a big oval pillow, not thicker on one end regardless of how the cover is shaped.  At least, that’s how mine are.  I kept them, but I wouldn’t buy more.

 I bought these two Joy pillows at that great value.  They are the best pillows ever.  Really am surprised how great they are .  Oddly enough my pillowcases from Jeffrey Banks fit.   It’s time to get out the Christmas sheets I bought from HSN !!

Funny was at my local Walmart today….. Picked up mainstay 2 pack pillow protectors…. Standard/Queen measurements are 20/28.. Price was $3.92…. Did not try it yet?? Hoping it fits…

Mainly bought the JM pillows for my husband….. I love the My pillow got it last year from the Q.. At the time they did offer one which i needed for myself…

My husband was using an old sealy to me it feels too hard. He did try he JM last night and said it felt good to him…

Hoping the pillow protector fits the pillow…

I may have a set or two of standard queen pillow cases will have to look for them.

These pillows can be bought anywhere direct and TV comercials.

I truly love these pillows (never said love before about pillows) and they are washable.  

Truly worth the price.  Too bad HSN didn’t sell these before Q got hold of them.

Also, I use Tony Little’s stretchable, zippered pillow cases on them…works great

Thanks for your comments .  I don’t own her pillows –  but hear you loud and clear on sizing. There are other manufacturers doing this too.  What happened to the Standard, Queen, and King cases and pillows?? Life is complicated enough these days…lol.:womanindifferent:

I have these pillows. I bought pillow cases at Walmart, Hotel Style brand 500 thread count. They’re 21×32, a little bigger than most, and they fit fine for me. I don’t use a separate protector underneath. HSN has JOY Warm & Cool Jumbo Pillowcases, 427-437.
