Joy Mangano Comfort Pillow (cool on onside and warm on the other)

I bought two sets.  Only one one had a strong oder.   They have no smell now.   I think I sprayed mine with Frebreze and let them air a few days.

The only problem I have is the cool side does not work i sweat bad.

I really do love my pillows,  so much so that I ordered and just received the large size for putting behind your back while sitting up.  I purchased the purple ones each time and I have absolutely no complaints.  No order, cold side helps with the hot flashes,  the warm side is warming,  not hot, but warmer than the average pillow.  I definitely would purchase again. 

Maybe, putting them in the dryer with a fabric softer sheet, on low heat would help?

I nearly froze my ear off with the cool side.

Anyone have any alternative ideas that I can use these for?  I would like to find a use instead of throwing them out and wasting $40.  I was thinking maybe there’s a use for them in the garage or something?!?  Can’t keep them in the same room I’m living in though!

I love everything else she sells, but these are the worst pillows I have ever purchased. I bought a set for myself and one for each of my kids. After a few months, everyone’s pillow is all crushed. Have to buy all new pillows. Awful.

After about 3 months I had to get rid of mine. Serious sinus problems and feeling ill.  As soon as I used a regular pillow my allergy problem went away.  There is something toxic in these pillows.

Well, I should have waited more than one day to review these things.  They aren’t too soft and puffy anymore, but hard and heavy.

One night I woke up and could hardly breathe–my throat was closing!  I knew they were done-for when I woke up one night and my arm was numb under the pillow.  The next night my shoulder was in pain, and still is.

I also attribute ALLERGY ISSUES, WHEEZING, HEART PALPITATIONS to these chemical-laden, foreign-made CLUNKERS (excellent health with none of these issues before).  Who sleeps on a pillow THIS BIG AND HEAVY?  King Kong?

I love my new pillows!  Very supportive and comfortable.  Hello 9 hours of sleep!  Will definitely order more if the need arises!

Everyone in my life says I have a super power and it is my sense of smell.  If these pillows had a strong smell, then I wouldn’t be able to stand them.  I received mine last week and they are fabulous!!!!!  No smell and so cuddly.  Truly great pillows.  There is a bit of weight to them, but that is what you want so they will not go flat as a pancake.  They do bounce back.  I am very happy with my purchase and I’m very picky.  Hense…my user ID that I would love to change, but can not ;( lol

I hear ya "Agi".  You are too funny, and "yes" you did make a good point about men watching a game or boxing match.  You put a big ole "KOOL-Aid" smile on my face.  I didn’t mean to "pick at" people’s remarks, ‘cuz I sure do my share of venting when reviewing (and not always nice either).  So that makes me no better than anyone else.  :smileyhappy:  "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind." ~Dr. Suess~  

We got ours a few days ago and they are awful. No smell really, but they are hard, too thick and very heavy. The no washing thing is a big probelm too. Already sent them back. The small freebie pillow is usless. Bad purchase for me, but glad so many people like them. Horrible pillows IMO.

I received my TSV Comfort & Joy Pillows today.  First of all, there are a whole lot of drama queens when it comes to reviewing these pillows.  One person stated, the box was so heavy she had to side them in her door.  Oh PLEASE!  I have older memory foam pillows half the size that are twice as heavy as these. If you are used to feather/down pillows, they might be heavier, but these have memory foam for support. That’s where the added weight comes from. Then there is the gripe about the "smell".  Hmmmm?  My pillows don’t have a funny or "toxic" smell that people are talking about.  There is a slight smell, but to me, it’s just a "new smell", nothing harsh or something I’d have to air out.  "No" I won’t purchase the "special" pillow cases for them.  I had some pillow cases that fit just fine.  Although I have yet to sleep on them yet, these are some nice quality pillows.  They do not feel hard as a rock, or feel like I’m lying my head on clay or whatever????  Ummmm…excuse me, but what ExActly where you all expecting anyway? I have to agree on one point of discussion, the "cool/warm" sides of the pillow.  With the material used (which I like), it will all feel the same to me.  And with my own pillow cases on them who cares anyway???? If you want "cool" turn down your air conditioner.  All I can say is there is SO much UNNEEDED DRAMA on these pillows. With that I didn’t feel there was a miss-representation when the pillows were aired. I read that they need to be spot cleaned, etc.  What’s the big deal?  The fabric was used as a selling point with the nice color and texture.  And if those who hated the pillows yet decided to keep them because of the heaviness of them would cost them an arm and a leg to return????  take a pill and call me in the morning.  Do or say whatever you want about these pillows.  I know I’m going to love them.  And "YES" I recommend them.  I got the silver/gray color.

My pillow didn’t smell bad at all but I can’t tell any warm side or cool side. It all feels the same to me. My favorite is her travel pillow!! Love that, I wish she made that in a larger size as it would be perfect support for me 🙂
