Is this the Silhouette Cameo 3 everyone has been asking for?

I’m seeing a Silhouette Cameo 3 Item No. 500-848 on the site, is this the Silhouette everyone is waiting for or is there a newer version?I have a question about the Pix Scan feature, will this cut out the image shape precisely or will it just let you place a shape over the image such as a circle or square and just cut that shape around the image?
