My dream destination for many, many years has been Ireland. Love all thing Irish! (No not a drop of Irish in me that I know of) As my time on earth is soon running out, this destination will only live in my dreams. I would aslo like to travel back to the Boston area, where I lived for many years and have some great memories! Due to circumstances I cannot control, my holidays will be spent alone. Will pray for peace & comfort for all. May your dreams come true!!!

Please make airline friendly carry on bags as in the 5 piece set. Oh, how tempted I was to purchase. Please reply and see my other comment for additional info. Thank you!

I absolutely fell in love with your 5 piece set. However, the carry on doesn’t meet many airline’s rules for sizes with regard to your 21″ carryon (that is listed as a 20″ on the TS as one of the choices).
Are you going to make this carry on more airline friendly? I have the 5 piece set and the 25″ bag (aka 26″) in my cart but now can’t get it because I don’t want to have a problem with the airlines.
Signed, Disappointed and waiting for a response. (Customer Service is completely lost on this question and I asked for it to be put as a comment in my customer file.)
Why list the TS as 20″, 25″ and 28″ and then you look at the dimensions and they are so much bigger? Huh? thank you!

I agree. I went to Disney Land before the world when I was around 12. It was my first time on a plane. I always have a special place in my heart for Disney Land. That’s amazing that you were there at the opening!

You’ve planned the perfect itinerary. I live in NYC and I love to go out at night around 10:30 and look at all the Holiday display windows. The crowds are gone!

Hello Samantha, I would love to go to Aruba. In the winter I need to get away to somewhere warm, with lots of sunshine, beautiful beaches and happy people. It seems to brighten my outlook and give me hope for Spring.

I think Leavenworth, WA would be a beautiful place to visit. I’ve never been to Washington, State but it is on my list of places to visit.
“…The Christmas Lighting Festival, held from December 5 to December 21 in 2014, features plenty of old fashioned caroling, Christmas characters and practically an endless amount of dazzling lights. On Fridays, St. Nikolas himself welcomes children with song and fruit. The A&E Network even crowned Leavenworth the “Ultimate Holiday Town USA.”

Hi Samantha, I have been wanting to take my son for a visit to the East Coast and show him where I grew up, went to school and have him get a feel for the area. I dont know anyone there anymore but would love to see what it looks like now. That will have to be a summer trip.
Maybe next week we will road trip to Los Angeles because I haven’t taken my son to Venice Beach yet and think that would be fun for him. Its 3-4 hours by car, depending on traffic.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ve been giving this topic quite a bit of thought lately since I would like to be OOT for Christmas this year. So I’m leaning heavily towards Santa Fe. It’s always magical but even more so during the holidays. The sky is truly enchanting, air smells wonderful, the square is beautiful…Canyon Road is a super walking area with dozens of galleries and restaurants. Dinner at Geronimo!!!! Lunch at Sazon!!!
Seeing the historic churches…..San Miguel Mission is the oldest church in the US (early 1600’s)…. Conquistadora Chapel (early 1700’s) …Loretto Chapel…all stunning… My favorite place to stay is Inn of the Anasazi but I’m sure there are no rooms available so I’d better start looking! Thanks for reminding me to stop procrastinating!
Happy Holidays!!!

I would go in Italy, where I was raised, and where my only brother, nieces, newphew, cousins, and friends are, and where my Mom is buried. Nothing can compare to an Italian Christmas at least for me. I don’t have family here bedsides my only son, which is not married so no grandchildren.

Oh dear, I hate travelling, but I would go to Texas to see Grandma Barbara. Pa Pa Leo died this year, and she might need some company. I could keep her company.

Dear Samantha,
I would like to cruise from the east coast to the west coast totally and slowly thru the Panama Canal. My husband and I travel 1/2 way and had a trully magnificant time passing thru a few locks. Have had traveled on a cruise entirely thru all the locks? I admit to being a fan on your travel shows. Your presentation of town and people have a way of sparkling when you speak of a specific region of the world. Now I read your aarp column. Your explanations are fair, fun and descriptive; that I have always wanted to sit down at a cafe with you inorder to hear your thoughts. My husband and I are foodies and to experience culture is to eat with pleasureable-:womanhappy:local pleople in a restaurant while traveling.

I have never been to New York City . I would love to experience Christmas in New York City and the opportunity to see a few of the Broadway plays, visit Central park, take part in the audience of the television shows. See Rockefeller Center, Empire State building, statue of liberty, etc. etc. #Sassy

I’m feeling very nostalgic this year. As I grew-up in southern California, I’m really wanting to go to Disneyland. We lived only 12-miles away and, tho I’ve been there a zillion times, *lol*, I’m feelin’ it this year.
The first time I went to Disneyland, I was 3-years-old. Like I said, we lived so close that we were one of the families that attended the opening on July 17-1955. It must have made quite an impression on me because, I swear, no matter how many times I’ve gone to the Park, every time I go I feel like a little tot.
I love all the rides, but mostly just the overwhelming creative majesty and grandeur of Disneyland. The, ‘It’s A Small World’ ride still makes me cry to this very day… even just thinking about it. I know… I’m a sap… but, there it is! *lol*
And, my husband and I each have a Samantha luggage set to get us there in style!!!

An upscale spa for a week (Aspen, California, upstate NY). I would have to take Ms. Kitty, my cat along. The holidays are a bummer for me re my immediate family so I prefer to spend time alone, with friends, or volunteer at a charity event. I drive 100 miles 3 times a week to check on my elderly parents – just me and my sister from NYC, when she can get down to Virginia. She is the only 1 out of 4 siblings who is speaking to me (they are mad at something I said or did a decade ago). As time goes by, families can get very weird.
