All we’ve had in the air is smoke from forest fires north of us.  We are suppose to get rain starting tonight for the first time in two months.  Doesn’t feel like the holidays outside yet, but it’s windy and the leaves have turned, finally.  Santa may have to wear Bermuda shorts and flip flops this year.

Enjoy the pictuesque Winter.  I’m definitely warm.  If the rain helps with the fires, we’ll be safe.

Where do you live because I need to move there! I LOVE the cold, the snow, the wind….*sigh*. 68 degrees tomorrow and humid. This is NOT winter to me : (

Oh, Faire, I grew up in the Northeast and as a child enjoyed the snow and waited and hoped that the school would be closed that day. Then, I grew up and married and going out in the snow was no longer my cup of tea. How I hated going out to shovel the snow off my car and run the defroster so it wouldn’t freeze. Then in February and March I had to contend with the ice that melted and my front steps became an ice skating rink as well as the sidewalk leading to the car and driveway. I prayed that I wouldn’t break a leg or an arm as I slipped and skidded. Now I’m in sunny Florida and enjoying the warmth. Temps were in the mid 70s and tomorrow low 80s. You need to come on down just to thaw and warm up. 

Warm in Ohio today – 54 degrees right now!

Warm here in NC  .    Has not rained a drop  in over a month – since Matthew hit .    We desparately need rain to put out the fires (the smoke has been horrific) 

Today , after almost 40 days of absolutely NO  rain , it is drizzling and 63 degrees

The one thing I cannot get used to in Florida is seeing the trees under a tent. In the Northeast people sit in RVs or Trailers to keep warm in between customers. And what is Christmas without a little snow cover. Oh Hmmm,  I guess the Santas here have wheels instead of a sleigh. Guess it takes a little longer to deliver those presents when you have to contend with tolls and speed limits.
