Bon appetite gourmet pressure cooker

I have one also. No instructions manual either. Have used it several times before. Last night mine blew up after venting the pressure, unplugging it and waiting apx. 15 minutes. When I opened the lid it blew up all over the place. Lucky I had on a heavy sweatshirt and glasses on. Have burns on my left wrist and hand, my neck, and my glasses are ruined. Why so dangerous?

You are not the first person to have that happen with the Bon Apppetit pressure cooker, others have posted about this and getting serious burns. It sounds like it needs to be redesigned.
